I'm in a pretty sturdy ankle brace now, one of those ones with rods in it for extra support. It's fairly clever in that I can wear my shoes or even my work boot with it on. I've gone back to work (I sit at work so that keeps my off my feet, may as well get paid to convalesce), and they have me on reduced activity so I more or less just get to sit at the desk all night.

The ankle's still sore, but that's from the surgery. The incision's healed, but the tendon itself hasn't fully healed yet, thus the brace. I'm on nothing but aspirin now for the pain, which is more than enough to make daily activities more than tolerable. I start physical therapy next monday, the 21st, the docs say my tendon should be healed enough to start.

So yeah, things are going well. I've managed to put about 12 pages down on the next chapter of Revelation and also did some work in Familiar. I'm able to concentrate again, so I'm able to get stuff done.
Just another guy from the shallow end of the gene pool.

Glad to hear you're mending well and even more so that you're able to work, both in the wages sense and on stories. Hope the physio goes well and isn't too painful. They say 'no pain, no gain', but I have to think there's a limit, unless you're a masochist! Wishing you all the best. :)

Cheers, man, glad you're on the mend -- and not drugged out of your mind!

[Hated it, my few experiences; can't focus enough to pass the time when insomnia hits. Creepy & deadly dull!]

So best wishes. Chapters very welcome, but healing first!
