Ok, I'm kinda confused over how they want to split up the "revenue" pie.
Owners get 1 billion off the top.
After that it's split 50/50 (or so, depending on what proposal they're talking about)
The players want a Hard Low cap based on projections for revenue and also no cap on what is above the projections, owners don't want that, (for example lets say projections said 20 billion next year, the players would get 9.5 billion, but if the actual revenue was 16 billion, the players would still get 9.5 billion...)
Now my problem is this, Players are paid based on a contract they work out with the team they are on (what there agent manages to get them) where does that money come out of? the players 50% or the owners 50% ?
If the money comes out of the Players "50%" cut, what happens if all the NFL Player contracts add up to less than the 50%? Is the excess split between all players equally? does it just go into some administrators (aka DE Smith) pocket?
If you have the answers to the above, thanks, if something I wrote is incorrect please let me know..

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that each team's salary cap is based on the players' 50% share of the revenue, divided equally among the teams.
Just another guy from the shallow end of the gene pool.
