Re: Lost & Found
I've recently been reading about the history of golf and it reminded me of a story I read a while ago, probably on SOL from what I remember of it. Anyway, the boy becomes a pro golfer and eventually has back problems. It's the second book (I think) I'm interested in finding; where he sets up a golf ...

Re: Earth Bond Chapter 21 Discussion (spoilers!)
Hmmm ... repairing their burrows with concrete. I wonder if they considered spraying their lava weapons over the forms instead of using a less renewable resource like concrete. They would have had to build interior forms for the concrete anyways (probably out of rock) and then sprayed concrete or bu...

http://www.starwalkerblog.com/awakening/ A ship's log, told from the ships point of view. It kept me up till 3am recently. Imaginative an surprising ng. Dang nab it! Now I'm hooked too. BTW the start of the story is: http://www.starwalkerblog.com/startup-sequence/ , It is very short but also very i...

Re: Secession, Chapter 8 [Spoilers]
Thta mass altering catapult, the kimdori did get the plans and tech for it before it was destroyed. Kimdori can use it to sneak into indicted systems. I could have sworn the Kimdori ships already had powerful enough engines and Jason had given them the formulae for jumping through the interdiction ...

Re: well,
I saw the fourth film. I was not impressed. Now I've been given to understand that the only thing it has in common with the book (which I obviously haven't read) is the title. There is certainly no Bourne in it.

Re: Earth Bond Chapter 20 Discussion (spoilers!)
It seems to me there are going to be a lot of powerful clear spikes available. The reason Earth Dragons (ED) cannot fly is that they cannot control the change in their density like other dragons instictively can. Changing density is obviously an aspect of Change Magic (CM). Sky Dragons (SD) are spec...

Link? The only page I see is http://www.facebook.com/pages/John-Ringo/103762979662123 which is a wikipedia copy. If we are talking about the fanfic book The Kildaran , you can read it starting here: http://thekildaran.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html The last chapter (55) was changed once or tw...

Re: Lost & Found
I don't think it was ever written. At least not that I recall. His stories (last updated April, 2008) are here: http://www.beyondthefarhorizon.net/phpBB2/show_author.php?a=2285 Didn't he start his own web-site that specifically excluded any erotica? That was a good site that just poof! went away. I ...

Re: Mature Message boards
Are you saying my drawings of Dani and her story don't count? WARNING: Personal opinion follows. Story - Don't know, can't tell, no access. Drawings - Based on the one shown - without the bar = PG-13. For justification I point to Phoebe Cates' pool scene in Fast Times... which, while the film was r...

Re: Mature Message boards
I've only noticed a few of the subject lines in the mature section. One was pictures of a girl and her cat, one was pictures of small English avians, and one was limited to the subspieces of those birds that were blue. Really, judging by the subjects there's nothing all that mature there. Of course,...

Re: Earth Bond Chapter 15 Discussion (spoilers!)
I can see it too, and I'm so sure I'll tag it spoiler even though I'm not sure -sure it's going to go like this: Not knowing of the re-discovery of ED breath weapons, the council chromatic tricks Kel into using all fifteen spikes and then tries to use his breath weapon on Kel. Toasty council chromat...

Re: Lost & Found
I'm pretty sure this used to be on the "most popular" list at SOL. A teen boy's parents are murdered and the only one who he can be put in with is his cousin in Malibu. He turns out to run a hugely popular anime site. Then somebody tries to complete the job. They have to go into hiding. La...

Re: Lost & Found
Well something triggered me to go reread a story and ... you know ... Young girl, excellent guitarist, whole extended family are really, ?Basque decent? (or Portuguese or Spanish), family guitar given to her by grandfather, turns out to be worth 6 figures, all the family guitars do, has to keep it i...
