Here's a challenge for those of us who keep IRC logs. Unfortunately, mine don't go back long enough to check for myself.

Fel said that Tarrin has already met the GoG briefly. When did he say that? That way, we can at least count out new characters mentioned after Fel said that.

That way we at least cut down on some of the new people.

Or... Maybe the barmaid is the GoG, and Mother Wynn is the true essence of entropy. Remember when the barmaid said she hated chaos, but Wynn said that sometimes to make order you have to have a little chaos first? Ohhh. *grin*
Ignorance is bliss, knowledge is power. Are the powerful very unhappy?

I don't know, because you get the idea that Mother Wynn is older and wiser than the barmaid. And she seems to know more:
"I hope he got off to a good start."

"He did," she answered evenly. "He's heeded the warnings, and knows what has to be done. He's already talked to Niami. Once the Sages get back to him, he'll get his ball rolling."
Perhaps Mother Wynn is the GoG and the barmaid was her high priest god, or maybe another Mi'Shara? As we've seen before, with the two other Mi'Sharas we've met (Spyder and Tarrin), they aren't necessarily for good, evil, chaos, or harmony. So perhaps the barmaid is just another Mi'Shara that the GoG has running errands for?

Just an idea. I still hold to my belief that Mother Wynn is the GoG, or a direct agent outside even a Solar's knowledge. With the power to wipe the memory of everyone and everything in Crossroads of her very existence, how could she be anything but?

Of course, all this is conjecture, and Fel will come along here in a day or so and prove how wrong we all are...

Would I do that?

No. Wait. I guess I would.

Nevermind.

(pssst, you're all wrong. Well, I guess I just did do it.)
Just another guy from the shallow end of the gene pool.

You have to remember when that was wrote. Was that in book 7 or 8 that he said that.
