Druidic Elementals?

Post by Hallmist »

Two conjoined questions:
1) Can Tarrin Summon Druidic Elementals?
2) If he can, are they the same ones (the same entities, with the same knowledge/personalities) that he summons using sorcery?

Ok, so what got me thinking was that Triana summoned an Earth Elemental to kick off the battle of Suld.  And then in Axe, she teaches Tarrin everything she knows.

But he never specifically summons elementals using his druidic talent, even though "summoning elementals is the height of Druidic magic"  (I wish I had a specific book/chapter/line on that one, but I do remember it was mentioned several times.)

Anyone got any ideas on this?

1) For all that both of them could cast Dragon Druid magic, I'd guess yes.
2) I don't think that they would be.  I think that Druid elementals are just the land given life.  If you remember, the earth elemental that Triana summoned rose up out of the earth, creating a hole.  If I remember correctly, Tarrin's elemental's don't do such a thing.  Yes, they do appear in the element that they come from, but they don't appear to take anything away from it, since the weave is giving them the element they need.
