Error in chapter 11

Alone? They have Demons, Tarrin, Miranda warned.
Dragons can hurt demons, he said in a steely tone.
Through an expression of Druidic power which you cannot access here, Dolanna said sharply.
I dont need Druidic magic, he told her, standing up. I have Wizard magic.
Which you cannot exercise while simultaneously destroying a column of armed men! she told him angrily. You should not do this alone, Tarrin! The size of that form does not make you invincible!
Didn't Tarrin squish a few demons in his dragon form, when he attacked Pyros? because it's not native to this world?

Not quite an error as much as an omission. He doesn't need Wizard magic either. *grin*

It's by omission, lol.
Tarrin can squish demons, but he was referring to the ability to deal out damage to demons on a large scale, but "tweaking" the breath weapon to do real harm.
He couldn't do it in gold dragon form anyway, as demons are naturally immune to fire. Something he would have learned the hard way.
That would be fundamentally moot in Pyrosia, since Tarrin is an extradimensional being. He CAN harm demons with a breath weapon if he uses another dragon form, because dragons aren't native to Pyrosia.
This is why he COULD squish the demons in Pyros. He's an otherworldly being, and as such can bypass a demon's invulnerability to anything that originates from the plane the demon is currently in.
The reason it's such a concern to Dolanna is because even though he's so big, demons are a threat to a dragon if there are enough of them. They have magic, they have magical weapons, some of them can fly, they're not stupid, and that levels the playing field. Tarrin could smack down a handful of demons easily, but if he's fighting thirty of them at once while simultaneously trying to destroy a column of soldiers, he's going to really have his hands full.

Um, I really don't mean to sound contrary but I just read Sword of Fire chapter 8 this morning and...

-our great and glorious leader... er... writer
Sword of Fire, Chapter 8
Demons again rushed at him from the walls, but Tarrin simply turned his head, sucked in his breath, and then unleashed another cone of fire. Demons were immune to heat and fire, just as he was, but they could not resist the force of the blast, as all that superheated fire and air slammed into them like an avalanche. They leaned into the cone of fire, protecting their faces, but one by one they lost purchase and were sent flying, tumbling along the ground. And when the fire ended, they didnt think quite fast enough. The first one never saw it coming as Tarrins monstrous forepaw crushed it into the red bricks of the ground, which now glowed a ruddy red from being superheated. Tarrin was not native to this world, and neither was the dragon form which he occupied, so the Demon had no defense against him.
According to the second quote, demons get squished by a dragon's physical attacks but not by his breath weapon. Of course, I may be misunderstanding your meaning, fel. I don't quite get what you meant by tweaking the breath weapon but maybe you meant there is a way to add magic to the breath.

fel said before that demons are imune to fire but if he decided to change into a blue (only other breath weapon i can remember off top of head) he could kill them with the lighting.
in this case its not the breath weapon thats in question when hurting the demons its the fact that they are imune to fire... (wouldnt you be if u lived in hell/the abis / whatever its called

)

I wonder if the second of gold dragon weapons, namely paralitic gas, acts on demons. If so: first paralyse them, then in free time trample them.
I'm not quite sure if Tarrin can transform himself (shapeshift) into blue dragon. As to other dragon forms: he has to have touched the animal, probably *after* his ascention to goddess (after acquiring god's soul). Is it impossible for him to transform for example to black dragon, with his acid breath, or the one with frostbite. Has he touched Saphire in dragon form after battle with Val? Has he touched Saphire after fight with Stagos Bane, i.e. revealing his demigod nature? Otherwise he cannot become blue dragon (lightning), either.

You know what'd be really fun? Shake hands with a demon. LOL. That'd be an interesting morph.

Hmm.. he touched Shiika and Auli, I think, after Stragos Bane accident. I wonder if he can shapeshift (or Shapeshift) into Succubus/Incubus or cambisi form. Provided that he doen't need to conserve the gender... gender shock can be brutal

. But this could allow for spying on enemies. Maybe, I don't know anough about demons in FelVerse, if they would detect him in demon form.

There'd be the problem of him reeking of Godly power still probably.

In his shapeshifted dragon form he has no access to his divine powers. If he took form of unwinged demon, it could be still the case. But will demons detect his divine powers... I don't know. Probably. It would fool One's priest, though, I think.

The real question qould be if it would fool the One!?????
Since divine beings can only be hurt by other divine beings and/or demonic beings. If Tarrin turned into a really nasty demon and was able to gain immediate and intimate (i.e. close, get your mind out of the gutter) access to the One he should be able to put a major hurt on.
Just warping another idea around.

actualy it has been explained elcewhere that he could in fact change into a blue dragon its just that his close prox. to fireflash made him choose golden this time. (explinasion was givin by fel but i do not remember where that was)
