I hope this is the correct forum to be bringing this up but as i just reread subjugation for i think the 30th time and made my way into insurrection i noticed a few naming/continuity errors to the story.

Naming errors:
on page 9 Jason is called Mister MacKenzie by the teacher; additionally he is refered to as tarrin twice on this page.
on Page 187 Jason refers to Jyslin as Jesmind

Continuity Errors;
At the end of Subjugation Jason forbids breeding between generations because it could create problems with interbreeding later, however it seems that forbiding has been completely forgotten in insurrection as it mentions that all generations are breeding both with non generation and each other. This is further complicated in tribulation when it is mentioned that Myleena not giving jason the chance to father her first child was considered somewhat rude. but the reason for that was again the limit on generations interbreeding at the end of subjugation.

At the begining of insurrection "All ten of the Marines had borne a child by a Generation within the first two years of coming to Karis, and a few of them
had already borne a second child by a different father" These children are rarely mentioned and in some cases seem to not exist. additionally this seems to go agains the eventual discovery that the waters of Karis are causing the women that spend there time on the beach (all of the marines live near the beach) to lose the ability to get pregnant after the first few months on Karis because of a chemical in the water that was used to clean the oceans.

A minor error i just noticed as i was typing also was this

Yana had born Kyri, who was probably going to be the most powerful telepath in the history of the Imperium. Maya
had borne Aran, a bubbly little boy with lime green hair. Zora had borne Sora, naming her after the root of the entire line of the
Generations, a little redhead girl with a major attitude. Ilia had born Zach, giving him a Terran name, a black-haired child with
dark eyes and a mysterious smile gracing his face most of the time.

throughout the rest of the series Sora is a quiet intelligent blond who is the true beauty among Jasons children. this change occurs as soon as 4 pages later so it doesnt mesh with the childrens hair color changing like rann's did.

I've also noticed those things mentioned as well, but they are things that could fairly easily be remedied with a little editing at a later date. In any case, Fel's stories are so great that I ignore such errors in favor of enjoying the story itself. There are similar errors in the Firestaff Series as well, but they could mainly be fixed with some minor rewriting. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, that Fel's works could easily make for great published books if he should ever choose to do so. It would require some editing before print to correct such errors, but that could easily be done without really altering the story at all. Also, early on the house ruling Earth wasn't called Trillane, but it was never corrected by editing later. (Or at least not the copies I have) Truthfully, the errors are so minor, anyone could go in and fix them without significantly changing the story, but as it belongs to Fel, such edits would have to be approved by him before being distributed.

For example, in the quotation about Sora having red hair, one could simply swap the word out for blonde, as is used continuously later. Another example is in the Firestaff series, Fel accidentally uses Jyslin's name instead of Jasmin's name, or in the first chapter of Subjugation, Jason's last name is completely different at first, when called out during class, then later corrected. The other name is never seen again in the whole series.

All of this stuff is minor, and even the altered plot lines could be corrected with a little creative rewriting, or possibly even a reason given for differing stories. For example, it could potentially be explained that limited breeding between Generations might be allowed because inbreeding really only becomes a problem when done repeatedly over many generations within the same family group. Studies (in real life) have been done, and inbreeding isn't nearly as dangerous as some would believe when done on a limited basis. As long as the parents don't have specific genes that would cause problems when combining, the children should be fine. It all comes down to chemistry really, as even two completely unrelated people can produce children with defects because they simply aren't chemically/genetically compatible with each other. Also, inbreeding CAN be positive in some cases when you are trying for specific traits. After all, that is what the Generations breeding program was all about. Humans do it with animals all the time, and the specific name for the process is Eugenics. Genetic engineering over time by selective breeding to produce specific traits. It was precisely why Cybi suggested Yana as a prime breeding partner for Jason. Also, Miaari herself in the first Subjugation book suggested that Jason and Myleena were also prime breeding partners.

Also taken into account, when that rule (about Generational inbreeding) was first made, Karis had a MUCH smaller population. Since then, Karis population has grown by leaps and bounds, to such a point Jason didn't expect. The exposure of Karis has created a huge influx of new immigration, bringing in much more genetic stock to choose from, so to speak. Most Generations don't seem to necessarily walk in the same social circles either. Time after time, we hear about a Generation being married to a non-Generation, and apparently most of them don't even live near Foxwood East. Jason and Myleena are glaring exceptions to that in the story line. Erinn is the only Generation known living near the Strip, but not actually on it, although apparently Rahne is going to be moving off the Strip soon also, while remaining nearby.

Like I said, there are possible alternate explanations or edits that could be added to repair such continuity errors.

Something I have always wondered about was Oren, Zora's husband. In Book 1 he was introduced to Jason at the opera but never mentioned again at all even though Jason and her have a daughter together, also what happened to her son.
