I'm done with 12.  Links coming later, etc. etc., you know the drill.  ;)

I'm done with my studying...it turns out it was generally in vain...kinda.  My real-life situation and some turbulence at school and the status of my student loans combined with some emergencies kinda stopped me from retaking the CCNA.  That's fine with me, because I didn't feel absolutely comfortable with the idea of retaking it, I didn't feel confident I could pass.  Call me gun shy, but I just can't afford wasting $125 on a failed attempt.  When I retake the test, I'm gonna ACE it, cause I will NOT take it again until i'm absolutely positive I can pass it.

I'm going to take an advanced routing class at school this semester that I hope will prepare me a little better.  It deals with the Cisco topics that I'm weak in, so it's a perfect fit.

I just hope I get into class, meh.  I've been going around and around with FAFSA (federal student loan program) and the school over my student aid.  They keep sending the application back to me and back to me saying it's wrong.  I fix it they way they want it and send it back, then they send it back to me and say I never changed anything.  I sent it back again and so far, they haven't sent it back, so I'm hoping that THIS time they realized that it's correct and stop sending it back to me, but I'm not holding my breath until the school calls me and tells me everything's correct.

Right now I'm really worried that I'm not going to get this worked out in time for Fall semester...there's only about 3 weeks left til classes start, and 2 weeks until payment has to be there.

Everyone cross your fingers, lol.

Very nice chapter, Fel. I especially liked the mental image of everyone spiralling into the air as they took off from the camp.. Very cool.

I like the action on the Dolanna-Haley front!

One small quibble with the chapter, though...my understanding is that cold-blooded animals are actually not capable of extended periods of activity, precisely because they must constantly take in energy from their outside environment rather than storing and metabolizing it as warm-blooded animals do.  Cold-blooded predators like crocodiles, for example, are capable of great bursts of speed, but only for short periods of time.  So the way to beat a cold-blooded opponent like a Vendari would actually be to maintain a moderate level of activity for an extended period of time -- the exact opposite of what's described in the chapter.

Hmm, think we have finally figured out the basis of the next book.  The details of an all out war with Tarrin vs. Demon Lord.

Amazing! VB.NET and a new chapter! Will wonders ever cease? Thanks Fel (and Spec8472 ), another great chapter, it sounds like a super size can of "whop a$$" is going to be delivered to the upstanding consumers of Pyrosia. It would be nice if poor ol' Tarrin didn't have to deal with ever-escalating WMD. Mixed emotions about Dolanna and Haley, you've avoided furry so far in your stories, but far be it for me to try and rain on your parade. It's absolutely fascinating to see what new twists and turns you come up with! Thanks for sharing

Wow great chapter! loved it, hope Tarrin doesn't have to loose too much...   I wonder where this book ends and the nects starts off.

Considering where book 5 ended, I'm guessing a while after Tarrin kills the One and some of the consequences are shown.

Then in the next book, we see what is done about the consequences.
