Question about forum to the admins

Post by Shadowhawk »

Is it possible to make a post on the forum editable by anybody, i.e. any member? I'm thinking about making sticky "Timeline" and "The Cast" threads in the FAQ section, and of course in the case of Q&A about the Pyrosina Chronicles the timeline will expand with added chapters, and there might be some people which should be added to the cast. Although it is possible to make timeline for each new chapter in separate post (I think it would be better to use fewer posts; it would be more compact) I'd rather have someone modify the post to add the short info about new character to the cast than add new post. If it is not possible, I would think about workaround...

Note: I would try to make Timeline and The Cast during rereading... but feel free to do it yourself  :) :) :)

Not with this forum software (not without making every registered user a mod/admin)...

Though it wouldn't be too hard to set up a Wiki to do it...

Wiki's are great, I've got one at work which I use to store all sorts of info. One Wiki entry is used to track bugs & feature requests in software I've developed, another Wiki entry for projects assigned to me, and yet another to track meeting minutes and accountabilities for that meeting.  There's also a few pages which combine RSS feeds from a few places on work's intranet.

Yes, I'm a wiki convert.
