Welp.

Post by Fel »

This is a bit of a rant.

As I've hinted, I've been having health problems. The specific is that I had tendonitis in my ankle that calcified, to the point where it feels like someone pierced my tendon with an ice pick and never took it out. Every step for me is pain. SERIOUS pain. To the point where I've been on pain meds that more or less kick my ass.

Surgery is the only option, and I had it scheduled to take place in early April.

Well, not anymore.

My surgery was cancelled because the doctor that was going to do it, the only one in the VA system here qualified to do the surgery, quit. I don't know why he quit, but now I'm back to square negative one, because the VA has more or less just stopped doing anything. They won't schedule anything outside of the VA until further notice. Since it's a government agency, I guess it's been DOGEd.

So, I'm stuck. I can't get a new surgery scheduled, and until that happens, every step I take is like being shot in the calf by a shotgun. I'm just beyond frustrated.
Just another guy from the shallow end of the gene pool.

I hope the idiots recover from their almost terminal case of having their cranium internally bonded to their posterior, so you can get some assistance.

Damn, you are not having a lot of luck. Been on waiting lists, don't like it, I hope yours has an end and doesn't run into infinity.

Feel better soon, Fel. Is there anything we could do to help?
