I have deactivated my account on Twitter, so I can no longer be reached there.
Again, so I do have at least one social media account so I can be contacted, I have created a Bluesky account. (I won't go anywhere near Threads, I won't interact with anything owned by Facebook or Zuckerberg).
My handle there is @felofsennadar.bsky.social.
I only check it maybe once every few days (I've more or less forsworn social media), so don't expect a quick reply.
I have updated the sticky post holding my contact information.

Re: PSA.
Given that I've never used social media, thanks anyway. I've got your postal address and have been using it for years, sending postcards, so if I really need to contact you there's the website or (horrors!) a letter. Another less-than-satisfied customer of Mr Musk, I'd assume, since I thankfully have kept well away from the insanity that appears to be social media.

Re: PSA.
To be fair, Twitter was no better before Musk, it just skewed more toward Liberals. Bluesky is no better, it's just a echo chamber for disaffected liberals.
We still love you down South Fel, even if you're a heathen, lol. I hope the books and stories you tell will one day bridge the divide.

Re: PSA.
Leaving twitter had nothing to do with Musk, it had everything to do with the new TOS.
I don't come anywhere NEAR Facebook and its related sites because of their TOS's.
I actually READ the TOS, and the new one for Twitter made it abundantly clear that I will be no part of that site. Just as I will be no part of Facebook, IG, Threads, and so on.
If you care about retaining ownership of that which is yours, you will leave Twitter as well. The new TOS allows Twitter to claim ownership of any IP you post to their site, just like Facebook does, and they go even further by forcing you to allow of anything you LINK via hypertext on Twitter to be used to train their AI, effectively stealing your IP.
And if you don't like it, the only thing you can do is sue them in the North Texas federal judicial district, which has only ONE judge that is in Musk's pocket. So any suit you bring automatically goes to a judge that's going to rule against you no matter how solid your case is.
It's utterly insane. And I heavily suggest everyone to deactivate your Twitter accounts and walk away before you lose something you care about.
As a writer, who has my own IP that I must protect, I will not come within a light year of Twitter now. No way.

Re: PSA.
Good thing I guess that I have no IP's posted or talked about on any social media then. IIRC even DND:B does the same thing for online characters and campaigns hosted on their sites. There are a surprising number of sites online that effectively do the same though. Sadly most people never read the TOS.Fel wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 1:51 pm Leaving twitter had nothing to do with Musk, it had everything to do with the new TOS.
