Currently, no, the jack probably can't.

However it wouldn't take much to make a few adjustments to the jack to where it could do so. The jack only cuts off senses in hyperspace if an interface is plugged into it. One good hack of an interface, and you could turn off senses ANYTIME an interface is plugged in, by telling the jack 'we're in hyperspace'

Not certain but am pretty sure, that the way the jacks detect "I am in hyperspace" and search for an interface to merge to, is based upon access to the users senses, ie. Sight, sound, taste, touch, pain, pleasure nuerons are firing nearly at random, check for seizure, seizure not detected, therefore am in hyperspace, search for interface to force merge, if success merge if fail, stop and let user experience hyperspace.

Or at least that was the logic that I think Jason was implying when they were talking in their VR room to set up the jack based filter...
