Well they are building ships, particular naval ships. Could we see them get refitted with railguns?

also, could they potentially design ships/crafts/modules for space? their industry might be very useful for such an endovor. More so they could attempt to create superior/alternative aircraft. they could go big for zepplins.

If they are going to add a rail gun it should be like the prototype at Wallops Island, VA a NASA launch facility. Will hurl a 1000 pound, eight inch shell almost two hundred miles. It's the real deal. Going to be used on Aegus cruiser's for littoral warfare (marine invasion stuff).

Actually there are 'just a few' problems with that proposal, things like barrel cooling and theoretical loss of kinetic energy and mass of the projectile during traverse to the target being two.
