so looks like there might be skit of conflict coming up. Part of me think that at first, the red wizards were involved. It is possible in the future, they might use the orcs as their local assets. I wonder if fox use the local raiders and bandits against the orcs, leak rumours those orcs are carrying lots of supplies and loo, and they might start messing with them. Doubtful they will be a major threat to such a horde, but at least weakens them.
At least it should be easy to convince the red dragon to work with him against the orcs. We know the wilds has alsorts of monsters out there, what is fox had his people locate monster locations near where the orcs might travel or even set camp, and lure them into encountering each other. The orcs are planing on raiding merchant, farms, villages or even towns, dealing with monsters would be unexpected.

The thing is for there to be a lot of trouble with pirates, there has to lots of ships, so I wonder if those ship builders were making deals with them. To prepare for pirates, they could make the shallows tricky to deter them from making shore not at the harbour, and build a lighthouse to watch the seas.

I doubt our shipbuilders are making deals with Lusken, but its a possiblity. Trying to convince bandits to attack Orc bands might work short term, especially if Fox introduces a bounty on a orc head or something, but long term nobody is going to attack an army of tens of thousands of orc's.

I must admit I got a chuckle of the Blackstaff being told of and go stand in his corner for being rude, that was amusing. Even though the Goblin women and Children are probably going to be picked up again I'm glad we didn't really see Fox going and killing them. So many arguments about what to do with a race of 'Always Chaotic Evil' races when you capture the females/young have started just like this chapter did.

Hmm...One thing I've noted, Fox hasn't used his Telekinetics much yet. We got told in the first chapter that he's pretty damn powerful with them but he seems content to use his magic swords or martial arts, though that might just be me.

That said, while I don't think the shipbuilding people are working with Lusken, you are right that's an AWFUL lot of logs they have been selling. Wonder what they ARE selling it for, or what contracts might be in place that has them not even able to go two days further to get the other wood...

We we learn more about Fox's wife role in her society and what a bigwig she actually is which is pretty cool. We meet another living legend wandering around. Wonder who else Fox has met wandering around Feruan.

Fox territory is in an area bordered by mostly water, the sea and the rivers, if he watches and fortifies the places where people can cross the water, he can prepare to deal with the enemy. His wife a stone Mage could shape and improve the rivers to increase the difficulty to cross and more controlled.
