Thor's Child - Ch 19

Post by GBLW »

Changes and pressures on three fronts, so Tor feels deluged (as well as nonplussed).

Happy days - I get to say first, and I get to read it too!
"Molon labe!" (Come and get them!) King Leonidas of Sparta, when asked to lay down his force's arms.

"Those who hammer their guns into plowshares will plow for those who do not." Thomas Jefferson

If tyranny & oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy. James Madison

I tell ye true, liberty is the best of all things; never live beneath the noose of a servile halter. William Wallace, Address to the Scots, circa 1300

“The great object is, that every man be armed. [...] Every one who is able may have a gun.” Patrick Henry

Hey GBLW, I've haven't said it yet, but thanks very much for posting this story.

To be honest, at times, Tor's inner thoughts annoy the shit out of me. That said, the story still has me interested enough to want to know what happens next, so I keep coming back when you post new chapters.

I agree - Tor's whining is getting old. Just my 2 cents worth

Actually Thor/Tor sounds the way I used to think when I was in my teens. Very introspective and mature at times then immature and whining seconds later. Thats the joy of teenagehood. Both for themselves and for their parents and relatives. You will never know which side of the coin you will get with one. Remember that Tor is not yet 16 and is carrying burdens that many much older folk can't deal with.

Yay, I must be doing something right -- someone got it.

(edit: removed blather - old men should not comment on their lack of youth and feelings of insecurity- especially when on pain meds. & doubly so when late at nite after a tough day.)

Thank you all!
