Hmmm, on my windoze system, 236 maps to a lowercase i with some accent. The only 2 fonts that have the "∞" character mapped to 236 are MS Line Draw & Terminal.storyreader2005 wrote:*psst* It's next to the "any" key (In Windows to enter the "∞" character, with number lock on hold the alt key while typing 236 on the number pad)

alt+0236 = ì (shows as "ì" in firefox, notepad, and wordpad)
alt+236 = ∞ (firefox with encoding set to UTF-8 and notepad)
alt+8734 = ▲ (wordpad shows "∞" symbol)
I supposes it's all a matter of which encoding you're using at the time.
(using the character map tool it's Unicode 221E)
