Waiting for the next chapters by Fel, I found gem of a lit-RPG story: Everybody Loves Large Chests
Spending all my free time on this story, and just now found out it is also available as audiobook!

one of the few books that i will specifically check to see if there is a new chapter up on a regular basis, as compared to simply seeing what is top of the 'recent announcements' list.

“No killing Goblins.”

So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours.

Is there a way to download royalroad book and chapter files or do we have to read it all on the browser?

I took a look at RR's subscription page and they don't list chapter/book downloads as a feature. Understandable given how they allow simultaneous posting of commercial content (unlike SOL for example).

Here is a great story from an author called Geoff Wolak. I stumbled on to his first book on Stories online. The book is called Magestic. You can read it for free there, or buy a copy from Amazon. I read both stories/books he posted on SOL and then bought them when he put them up on Amazon. Since then he has come out with a few more books, his latest being Wilco: Lone Wolf, there are 18 in the series.

Magestic (https://storiesonline.net/a/gwresearch) is a time travel adventure story. This, like all of his subsequent books are very well researched and written. Be warned, however, he is English and so writes in British English.

His newer stories are more conventional, action adventure, but still very engrossing.

I just did some editing for Chapter 20 of Wilco. Very enjoyable action adventure story. Combat, espionage, weird British slang. I have really enjoyed all of Geoff Wolack's writing. Magestic is one of my favorite stories. His website is http://www.geoffwolak-writing.com.

Even before I finished Magestic, I looked up his website and made a donation. I could see how much effort and work he put into the story and I thought he deserved something more than just a thanks.

Then I got to K2. Straight action adventure. One thing I really like about Geoff's writing is that, you can really imagine yourself in the position of the character and understand why they make the decisions they do. This was very much the case with his book Almost Eden. The protagonist was not a warrior in the traditional sense, but in his own way he had the same feel. He made decisions that I would have made, of course he had his reservations, given who he was, but each decision was well thought out.

I wish he had come up with a sequel to Drake, but there's time for that.

Either way, credit where credit is due, he has done an outstanding job with his books so far. I'm just waiting for him to finish, is it book 23 of Wilco, before I buy 20-23. Then I'll take some time off and read all 23 in one long, very enjoyable sitting, with a whiskey and some snacks beside me, with the cell phone switched off, and no internet.

And one last thing, thanks for helping him with the editing.

Yes, try FanFicFare.

FanFicFare is a tool for downloading fanfiction and original stories from various sites into ebook form. Supported formats are: epub, mobi, html & txt. This program is available as a calibre plugin, a command-line interface (via pip), and a web service.

There are other similar web services but FanFicFare has the biggest number of supported sites I've seen.

Hey, expedient, thanks for this tip. I was using the Fanfiction app, but wanted to download the books/stories there. This was a great suggestion.
Thank you.
