I have been reading a series by Lazlo Zalezac over on StoriesOnline.net. The series is Jade Force of Misera. The story is about a military group that trains orphans and others forgotten by society from an early age to be warriors, called the Jade Force. The Jade Force is hired by countries to take on their problems that they cannot handle on their own. It will be interesting to see where Lazlo takes this story in the future.

It can be found here. http://storiesonline.net/library/show_s ... hp?id=1106

It's nice that Jade Force seems to be made up of a number of short stories, rather than his usual lengthy works. (Not that there's anything wrong with those!)

Very different and quite entertaining. Chinese fantasy, chasing immortality and endless power.

Been reading a series of short stories/individually-published-chapters by Robert Black called Bad Metal.

It's set in a post-apocalyptic world where Robots have replaced a lot of manual labour.

Book 1: Bad Metal http://www.amazon.com/Bad-Metal-01-Robe ... bc?ie=UTF8
Book 2: Dirty Jobs http://www.amazon.com/Bad-Metal-02-Dirt ... bc?ie=UTF8
Book 3: Replacement Parts http://www.amazon.com/Bad-Metal-03-Repl ... bc?ie=UTF8

Nice work, but my only criticism is that it's just SO short. Each one feels like a chapter in length or so.

'Books' 1 and 2 are free on Kindle this weekend.

All great locations. What I am looking for are Magic, Mind Control, and Dragon type stories. I've gone through most that are on SOL, Wolf, Litorica, And a few others.

If anyone can assist, please post your choices...

Thanks

Going off the wuxiaworld link,

http://thebathrobeknight.blogspot.com/
http://jawztranslations.blogspot.com/?m=1

are two good original novels that are somewhat similar.

http://gravitytranslations.com/zhan-long/

is a very good VR novel that is in the midst of being translated right now.

Well, since you like stories on Dragons you could try the fanfic sites and look for some of the fanfics written as takeoffs of the Pern series - One author I can think of who wrote over two dozen books about Pern's dragons is Slytherinsal.
The first in the series is https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6593028/1/ ... agonchoice - that's also the oldest of the lot and they are a bit of a muddle because they all cover a relatively short span of time and often have built in spoilers.
BY the way they are not "true to the original" Pern series.
