I've been following a couple good serials lately, most of them from TopWebFiction that I figrued I would share. Sorry if there's duplicates from previous posts:

[*] The Gods are Bastards (https://tiraas.wordpress.com/) - I want to add my recommendation to it, fun read, decent sized chapters released regularly.
[*] A Practical Guide to Evil (https://practicalguidetoevil.wordpress.com/) - I can honestly say this story has had me actually laughing out loud more than any other story I've read. Great humorous read, interesting universe, and a compelling plot that keeps me waiting for every Wednesday.
[*] Twisted Cogs (https://twistedcogs.wordpress.com/) - I'm of mixed feelings about suggesting this one because even though I've been following it for a year and a half, I do take time off from this and then go back to catch up. Only posted once a week (Sundays) and sometimes has smallish chapters which is what puts me off the most. On the plus side, VERY interesting *magic* system involved. It's a good read if you don't mind waiting for content to build up.
[*] Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality (http://hpmor.com/) - I was hesitant to get into this one originally but then it just caught me and I couldn't put it down. The story is complete so there's no delays keeping you from finishing it. Intriguing alternative universe for HP and I'm usually not a huge proponent of fanfics
[*] Pact (https://pactwebserial.wordpress.com/) - I'm a fan of Wildbow and this one was intriguing from the get go. Make sure to read the first 3 or so chapters before you make up your mind about it. It lays out the basics pretty well in the first three and then moves on from there. Wildbow has other stories that are just as good if not better but this was the first one I read and so always the first one I recommend.
[*] Beginner's Guide to Magical Site Licensing (http://starterserials.com/active/the-be ... licensing/) - Even though it's complete, I just started reading this after finding it on TWF. So far I'm liking it but we'll see how it goes.

The Gods are Bastards is one of my favorite stories. It is not complete, but there is a LOT of it out there. The chapters are not as huge as Fel's but they are bigger than most web serials. And it has some very funny parts (“Got yer nose!”). The author is very dedicated to releasing on schedule even when they should be taking a break.

Hello,

Just went through the whole thread, and didn't see these stories, and i really been enjoying them.

https://www.fictionpress.com/s/2961893/ ... f-Learning
Zorian, a mage in training, only wanted to finish his education in peace. Now he struggles to find answers as he finds himself repeatedly reliving the same month. 'Groundhog's day' style setup in a fantasy world.

A deadly Assassin is reincarnated into another world.

http://www.jimdunavant.com/
The year is 2063. The seeder ship, Forever, is two years away from the launch window--its mission to populate the galaxy with humans in an effort to ensure the survival of the human species. Security is extraordinarily tight--the threat of genoclonic terrorists planning to skyjack the Forever looming large in the minds of the World Government officials. But they do not know of the immortal, human-like extraterrestrials exiled on Earth one-hundred thousand years ago. They do not know that the aliens, who call themselves Enonians, have plans of their own for the Forever.

Can your punches pulverize boulders and make waterfalls go backwards? Have your Qi paths been fully opened? Is your Dan fully of liquid energy? Are you obsessed with Jade? Do you have to yell out lengthy arcane names for all your attacks? Are you constantly accused of "courting death"? Do you soar the skies standing on your flying sword? Do you swallow medicinal pills like candy so you can break through to the next martial level? Do you make all important decisions based on a competition of the younger generation?

I have become addicted to translated Chinese martial arts novels. The two genres I like are called Wuxia and Xianxia. Wuxia is super martial arts and Xianxia is Taoist sorcery flavored martial arts. Wuxia is Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon while Xianxia is Zu: Warriors from the Magic Mountain. These novels are full of super overpowered heroes doing crazy stuff against even more overpowered villains.

There is a website that tracks new chapters for hundreds of translated novels: http://www.novelupdates.com/. These novels are often HUGE, however most of the novels have not been fully translated, so it really helps to see when new chapters get released. Some have chapters released daily.

Here are a few of the stories I am reading.
Coiling Dragon http://www.novelupdates.com/series/coiling-dragon/ (is fully translated)
Stellar Transformation http://www.novelupdates.com/series/stel ... formation/ (is fully translated)
Douluo Dalu http://www.novelupdates.com/series/douluo-dalu/
The Desolate Era http://www.novelupdates.com/series/the-desolate-era/
Against the Gods http://www.novelupdates.com/series/against-the-gods/
Wu Dong Qian Kun http://www.novelupdates.com/series/wu-dong-qian-kun/

When Felicity ‘Flick’ Chambers boards the bus for the first day of her junior year in high school, the most important thing on her mind is how to make everyone else take the school newspaper as seriously as she does. As a self-styled investigative reporter, she’s spent years picking through the monotony of her small town to find those few dark spots that make for compelling articles.

And yet, that search for the most remarkable of stories ends when Flick disembarks the bus to find herself in a place far away from anything she’s ever known. She faces a door that will lead her to a world where she will be taught alongside her new peers to use their extraordinary gifts to protect the mundane world from the monsters that lurk within the shadows.

One thing gives Flick and her new classmates the ability to find and defeat these creatures. One thing separates them from the average humans who never comprehend the danger posed by these dark beasts. One thing provides the strength these select few desperately need if they are going to halt the incursion of this evil.

The Heretical Edge.

This is one of the best serial books I have ever read. Big backlog of chapters and a twice weekly update. (sometimes 3 times a week)

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but anyone familiar with a story posted over on Storiesonline a few years back set in the mining town of Carp? Think it was set in early to middle parts of last century, and the town had some old fashioned customs even for the times; also, hero was some kind of engineer, one of the big plot factors was that the water was poisoned in a way that most of the guys living there before went sterile.

Book 2 is now available.

Also I recommend checking out the author E William Brown on Amazon - has 3 book in the Daniel Black series and 1 book in a sci-fi series. The Daniel Black series is entertaining. But Brown's other book "Perilous Waif" is pretty darn good in its way.

This was posted once before about 10 years back but it's worth re-posting. The open library http://openlibrary.org/ has scanned versions of 1000s of science fiction books which can be checked out and read online. Registration is free.

Hi all,
I am putting this up as good reading. Three Square meals by Teflur. I have been enjoying it and his writing improved a lot after the first few chapters.
The story is in the old grand space opera style big battles and a hero with a harem and a serious undertone of eroticism. Not yet finished, but is 91 chapters in already.

Enjoy the time you spend having someone else expand your mind.

Book 3 became available on Amazon a month or so ago. This concludes the first trilogy, the author has stated there will be another 3 book series that will start coming out in 2018.

I really have enjoyed the trilogy actually bought it. Kindle unlimited is also worth the 10 bucks a month to me, read so much stuff would never otherwise sifting through the crap for gems.
