Larry Correia's first novel, Monster Hunter International, is now available for free from the Baen Free Library:
http://www.baenebooks.com/p-1024-monste ... ional.aspx

Kindle users can also download it free from Amazon here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00APA ... WAYSIHLDF5

How long it will be free on Amazon is up in the air.
The Mizriath Jihad is on hold.....for the moment

Read Monster Hunter yesterday, I would call it pretty good.

I've been finding a lot of surprisingly good stuff at http://www.royalroadl.com/ lately. A bit of background on the site is that it started out as a free translation site for Legendary Moonlight Sculptor (a great Korean LN that is not even completely translated) though evolved into a LMS fanfic site and is now a great place to find original stories in the spirit of LMS, focusing on themes of virtual reality and LitRPG. Some of the successful stories there are starting to get cleaned up and self-published on Amazon, from authors like Scottie Futch and Viken. Stories to check out on there would be Azalon, Universe Online, and Realm of Learning to name a few. The main draw to me is that the creativity and development of the contributors there is top notch, though a lot of them do start out pretty green and raw.

I found Mage Life (at http://magelifeblog.wordpress.com/2014/ ... chapter-1/) quite enjoyable, also
Kaiserin (http://kaiserinnovel.wordpress.com/2013 ... chapter-1/), although that one has an extremely unpleasant middle section.

I've also been enjoying Dragon Wars (http://firebird-fiction.com/dragon-wars ... e-part-one)

I haven't seen it mentioned here previously. The Gods Are Bastards (http://tiraas.wordpress.com) is a pretty darn good on-going serial. If you can handle the multiple viewpoints shooting to different scenes it's definitely an entertaining read.

I have been really enjoying "Rock Fall" by Gine Marie Wylie. Wanted to include the link to the story but the site shows as being available for purchase currently. Second time this year.

There is almost always at least one top notch story active on her site. Well worth checking out. Below is the site address anyways. Hope they fix it soon

It's been changed to beyondthefarhorizon.net for quite awhile. Someone snagged her old domain when it lapsed.

Arrrgth!

Thanks. Switched to a new computer this weekend as my old machine was dying. Thought I had managed to keep all of my bookmarks, but that one obviously is flawed!

Rapina has posted the more-or-less annual installment (Chapter 75, A Tail of Trolls) in her long-running Chronicles of Rapina.

The table of contents entry for the chapter does not have the correct URL. Use the direct link in the previous post.

arargh

ps: And thanks for the posting Sam. I check every month or two, but because of the bad URL, I wouldn't have found it.
