Nice find, but the 'Wayback Machine' didn't seem to get all of the story. At one point there were 5 more chapters.

I have an old chapter listing for 'A Time of Heroes' which doesn't stop at chapter 136. It goes on with; 137 - Casualties, 138 - Breaking Point, 139 - Selfishness, 140 - Ashes and finally 141 - Home.

And of course you now have me hunting through a stack of my old hard drives, DVD's and CDG's to see if I don't have a copy of the completed story. (One day I just have to find time to catalogue all this 'stuff salvaged from the web' so I can lay my hands on things. Sadly, even if I did find a copy, I can't repost some else's copyrighted work without their permission!)

Thanks, now I can quit worrying about finding my way through my old files, etc. Now -- that's a good thing, I have enough worries on my mind -- what's left of it.

The book was Blessings of a Curse by Wc63. He pulled that book and People of the Tiger sometime last year with no explanation on his blog there.

edit: I just double checked and he has them both back up on lulu.com for purchase, he had taken them off here at the same time as SOL so not sure when they got put back up.

In June 2009 I posted rough drafts of these books to a fiction website, and asked the readers to rate and critique them, and let me know how they compared to the best-sellers in their genres. They were given averaged ratings of 9.36 and 9.37 out of 10. I was flabbergasted by the hundreds of wildly enthusiastic email responses! Many wrote to say that one or the other is the best book they ever read, and one guy even threatened to hunt me down and duct-tape me to my computer chair until the sequels were finished!

I've since completely re-edited both of these books, with consideration for the suggestions of their many readers, and they are much improved for it. I know you'll enjoy them, and I'll have the next sequels out as soon as possible!

He just started re-posting People of the Tiger to SOL and also has it for free from his website.

I also have Test Flight, chapters 1 through 40 (both copies of 10 {gore/mild}
Bound, chapters 0 through 6 (doc) and 0 through 12 (pdf)

if you (he) needs these, let me know and I'll attach them here (zipped, of course)... they have not been edited since I dl'd them, so they should be in the same format he had them in.

3. Maid/ caretaker turns out to be adoptive sister.

Looking for a story that starts with a older gentleman work on a system out of town when his wife and daughter are murdered.
He is wrongly accused of the crime. He gets set free and starts tracking down the real killers. He ends up help several others and builds up a team that helps him catch the killer and take down the guys father that was protecting him. If you have any ideas on this on would appreciate it.

The story was Ashes to Ashes. I pulled it from SOL one year after it was completed based on a compromise agreement with a couple of my children who were offended by the premise and the fact that many of the family characters were too accurately portrayed in the story. Request a copy through my SOL author's page and I will email it to you.

PS - I started a rewrite that would have been better written and more acceptable, but was never able to finish it.

Hi there.

I've been trying to find a story that I'd read on Stories On Line years ago and since then completely lost everything but a vague idea of the theme.

It was about an obese kid who's initials were ELF. Seems that he was the offspring of a queen and a warrior and he was growing up in 'our world'. He was abused by family and 'friends'. So much so, that after making a sword in metal-shop he decided to 'end it all' by running himself through with said sword. This brought about his transformation into the buff guy who was going to bring the magical and non-magical worlds back together (I think?)

One scene of note was where some bullies killed his dog.

Any help would be appreciated.
