Update-meta-thread

Post by Wolfee »

Fel, hope you are doing better, time as they say heals all wounds or at the least blessedly mutes the pain and loss. I speak from experience.

I really enjoyed chapter 1 and was wondering if you had caught up on all your gaming and mowing and had given chapter 2 a thought?

I've started on chapter 2, but summer means vacations, so I've been working 60 hours a week almost every other week. So, slow going.

So vacations for everyone but Fel, while Fel covers other people's vacations?

Basically yes. I take my vacations in the winter. I don't like heat, so taking a week off in summer heat is meh.

October and March are my usual vacation months.

If you live in TX, you can also get Spring heat, Fall heat, and Winter heat.

I've often been curious what kind of real world work FEL does? 60 hour weeks are rough, if done for very long. I do mechanical design and documentation and have had to do a few of those long weeks over the years to meet deadlines. Not to mention the real world life of living on a small family farm where there's always a backlog of work to get to.

I'm clocking in 49 hours of work this week myself. If I was a writer, I can't imagine finding time to write even with that.

Piffff!!! I was working 12s for a vehicle launch and I was lucky it was only 12s. Thirteen days straight of 12 hour shifts, one day off, and do another 13 days….all while working on my masters degree. SO glad those days are over!

If you want something bad enough, you do whatever you need to do.
