As someone who has had knee surgery, I fully understand. New hikers walking up and down hills know well that down hill is harder on the joints and muscles.

On another noted, are you having anytime to work on Chapter 7?

Thanks for all you do here.

Stairs????
I used to try to keep limber by walking the halls and the stairways of the five story building where I live in the evening (in this neighbourhood only fools and the ridiculously brave walk the local sidewalks after sunset) - I had to give up though because while going up the stairs was painful, coming down soon became sheer H E ll! Now if I need to change floors in this building, I use the elevator and any walking for exercise is done on the sidewalks and before noon - even then I use a cane now.

So congrats on feeling better Fel, I wouldn't wish my aches and pains on anyone!

Over the last several weeks I've come to use a cane much of the time.
I've had arthritis for quite a while, but had a really bad episode several weeks ago.
The right knee especially.
Of course, I have my bedroom and computers on the 2nd floor of my house.
So I broke out the canes I'd made over the years from branches pruned from trees on various properties I'd lived at, and found one that was just the perfect length.

Now... while the pain is very much decreased, I figure that using the cane will help keep the knees from stressing out so badly.

Not quite.

They're going to run a nerve conductivity test to find out why I'm experiencing partial numbness in the big toe on the leg I injured.

Outside of that, more or less. The doctor said my leg won't be completely healed for another month, in that I could very easily re-pull the muscle, so I have to be very careful. I have to act like it's still injured, else I'll re-injure it.

Fell,

Take care of yourself and good luck to you, though I don't know how your going to avoid stairs and hills were you live.

Best of health to you and yours

Well, at least at that point you already know how to act like it's injured.
