Fiction like Kit

So I don't know if this is the right place to do this, but couldn't think of a better place. I really enjoy reading the kind of slice of lifeish fiction like Kit is.
I was wondering from that if anyone had any recommendations on fiction that has that kind of thing in it. The one just about life going on as it does in Kit.
Any recommendations will be welcome.

I would go for Nathan Lowell's Trader's Tales series starting with Quarter Share for a similar feel to Kit. It is sci-fi though so it's more of a slice of space life, but really focuses on a guy making his way in the galaxy. No aliens, desperate struggles for the fate of the universe, and only a touch of action, but very good writing.

Have you looked over my stories at "Grynen Bayrit Publications" - http://www.grynenbayritpublications.com/ because a lot of my stories are written in that vein. I'd recommend either "Aftershock" or "Beyond the Mirror" to start with, but then I'm prejudiced.
I suppose I should also mention that my stories are written about 'humans,' not 'fox folk.' Oh yeah, and they are 'adult oriented.'

Or you could try Wes Boyd's "Spearfish Lake Tales" at http://www.spearfishlaketales.com/index.htm because he also writes character based stories with a relatively decent plot.

I would recommend Trader's Tales too but damn it Owner's share almost made me cry. You would be good since there is another one written(now!!!) after it. I also like Thor's Child by GBLW.

I second the recommendation of Spearfish Lake Tales by Wes Boyd, I like them enough that even though you can read them for free, I've purchased them. Really good stuff.
