How was your superbowl party?

Post by dellstart »

well , I will never turn down an excuse for a beer or two , though to be honest as a Aussie expat , American football doesn't exactly rock my boat. The BEER was good though as was the company.

After seeing all these people mention a superb Owl, decided to go and try it for myself.
Roasted it with a little rosemary and garlic it's not too bad, but not superb. I'll go for the chicken next time - Owls are a little too difficult to obtain from the zoo.

It's where the English sent all their best sportsmen.

/me doesn't know about Superbowl parties. /me spent 12 hours working until 1am at the airport seven miles north of the Superbowl. :(

(so much for requesting the day off six months in advance.)

Its what they call New Zealand's west Island.
Rational people have supported the worst dictators of history - Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc.

I'm mad - at least I have an excuse for what I do.

What I like about the Super Bowl is that during the game it is the BEST time to go shopping EVER! The stores are deserted, except for the other heretics who don't care about The Game. Kind of like when I lived in Chicago, and the Bulls were playing in the NBA finals; the streets were deserted, and periodically you would hear cheers or shouts of dismay from all around, in quadraphonic sound.

You know that everything is bigger in Texas. I figured Aussie big humor would understand this. Plus I saw alot of blokes and sheelas wearing blue jeans and leather dusters when I was there in '03. And big belt buckles and boots and cowboy hats. Felt like I was at home.

You were home, it was just a really long trip to the Outback Steak House.
