Black Friday (the valens legacy book 1) I have read books 1-3 using my kindle unlimited. A story set in a world like ours where magic is hidden from the norms. A young man just became a werelion and has also received a legacy from his father along with the truth about his father's death.

Pretty fun read. Not something I would buy, but with kindle unlimited read and return! :)

Book 2 is now available.

Also I recommend checking out the author E William Brown on Amazon - has 3 book in the Daniel Black series and 1 book in a sci-fi series. The Daniel Black series is entertaining. But Brown's other book "Perilous Waif" is pretty darn good in its way.
Book 3 became available on Amazon a month or so ago. This concludes the first trilogy, the author has stated there will be another 3 book series that will start coming out in 2018.

I really have enjoyed the trilogy actually bought it. Kindle unlimited is also worth the 10 bucks a month to me, read so much stuff would never otherwise sifting through the crap for gems.
The author has another fun series "The Star Ships Mage" series and he has started a collaboration series with Terry Mixon, who has the Empire of Bones series, called the Vigilante series:

Christopher Nuttall also has added two new books to his Angel in the Whirlwind series that used to be only on his website and all 4 are now on Amazon:

The Mizriath Jihad is on hold.....for the moment

I was looking for new stuff to read (again) and I noted that rlfj has started the second part with the Grim Reaper. It's a bit political but very good. The first part is posted for completeness sake, but more of a coming of age story.

I'd gladly travel back in time, except I would have to wait longer for the next chapter of Fel's work...sorry, pass.

There was politics in the story? I thought it was just a story about exercise routines. Kneel, stand, tweet, kneel, stand, tweet,...

Agreed a fun read #4 should be out soon they make a good filler while waiting for the next chapter of retribution
I know that the voices in my head aren't real.

For those of you that followed Worm (parahumans.wordpress.com), and if you haven't you should start now, the first chapter of the sequel was posted today. The sequel is called Ward, and is at parahumans.net.

For those of you that didn't follow the first story, the Parahumans universe is a grimdark superhero tale. It follows the protagonist Taylor, who goes by the name Skitter, who has the power to control insects. It is one of the best web serial reads on the net, right up there with Fel's stories. It is extremely dark, but extremely well written. It pulls no punches, unlike most of the genre, and there is death, mutilation, Kaiju-like beings known as endbringers, conspiracies, sacrifice, heroes, villains, villainous heroes, heroic villains, redemptions, falls from grace, great characterizations, and a overarching story (told through 20+ arcs, each of which is equivalent to a large book) that is internally consistent and cohesive. If you are at all interested in the genre, you owe it to yourself to read it.
