Chapter 1: General recap, with large, detailed description of Tarrin's home. Tarrin experiences 6 months of absolute peace and tranquility. This ends when Allia asks him to babysit her pet inu, Kedaira, while she hammers out a compromise with her father about his herds. [second name for allia's inu... talon was the first name.] BIG problems with Kedaira and the surrounding families and village. Tarrin agrees to go to the desert to talk to Allia's father's herds and tell them that Kedaira is friendly. Jasana projects out to Allia to ask her if she and Eron can come to the Desert also. Tarrin agrees to take them if Jasana can find him through projecting through the Weave. She does and they make plans to go to the Desert.

Chapter 2: Tarrin, Jasana, and Eron travel to the Desert. Tarrin finds an ancient Dwarve Axe. The werecats meet up with Allia and Allyn and they begin the 3 day journey to Allia's clan. Fara'Nae tells Tarrin that she's going to step in where Jasana is concerned.

Chapter 3: Jasana begins to have nightmares. The group meets up with Allia's clan and Tarrin has his first encounter with Allia's parents, Kallan and Kaila.

Chapter 4: Tarrin and Kallan fight. Jasana and Eron squabble and that night Fara'Nae awakens Tarrin and tells him to go save his children, who are being attacked by Sandmen. Tarrin discovers that Jasana tricked Eron into disobeying him, hoping to have him sent home in repayment for calling her names.

Chapter 5: Triana visits, having sensed how angry Tarrin was. She informs Tarrin that his Druidic training will begin after Camara Tal has her baby. Tarrin talks to Sapphire who says she will come visit that night. Tarrin heals a baby desert fox and Eron names it Sandy and keeps it as a pet. Tarrin spars with Kaila, in order to show Kallan that, though she's crippled, she isn't helpless. Sapphire comes to visit.

Chapter 6: Tarrin and the children Teleport home to find that Jesmind and Mist have had huge fight, destroying most of the house. Mist moves out, taking Eron with her. Tarrin begins to study the Dwarves. Tarrin goes to visit Janette. Tarrin summons the Book of Ages to help him learn Dwarven. Tarrin spends the next few months learning Dwarven and fixes Shiika's palace while studying in the library in Dala Yar Arak. Triana visits and admits she was the one who interfered with Jula's Sorcery when she was trying to stop Jesmind and Mist from fighting. Tarrin finishes learning Dwarven the day before having to leave for Amazar for the birth of Camara's child.

Chapter 7: Tarrin and all of his friends rendezvous in Suld before transporting to Abrodar. Haley joins them, brought by Triana after his visit to the Hierarchs. They Teleport there are are amazed by the Tower of Abrodar.

Chapter 8: Tarrin and Miranda have a long talk about Kerri. We find out that Haley was called to the Hierarchs after his encounter with the Were-hunter, Stragos Bane. Haley and Tarrin explore Abrodar by night in human form. They all board a Zakkite flying ship and heard towards Amazar.

Chapter 9: The group arrives in Amazar and meet Camara Tal's mother, the Queen of the Amazons. While exploring Tarrin sees a strange bird, a Phoenix. Tarrin plays a prank on Ulger after betting that his mother can beat him in a fair fight. Tarrin attends the birth of Camara's daughter, Shaul, and announces that she has the gift of Sorcery.

Chapter 10: There is a huge celebration feast. Second spotting of the mysterious Phoenix. Shiika sends Camara Tal a Hellhound for a baby present and Camara names it Ember. Third sighting of the Phoenix. The group leaves Amazar.

Chapter 11: Tarrin begins his Druidic training with Triana, beginning with a month of purely physical training. After 5 months of training Kerri suddenly appears and says that Miranda has been kidnapped. Tarrin, Triana, and Jula go to Wikuna and Tarrin rescues Miranda. Tarrin brings Miranda to the throne room and Kikkalli takes over her body and verbally thrashes the Wikuni nobility. Miranda collapses.

Chapter 12: Kikkalli appears to Tarrin and asks him to speak to Miranda, who is distraught at discovering she is an avatar. Miranda decides to leave Wikuna for awhile and Tarrin takes her to Dayise. Kerri is very upset about her leaving, but is molified when Tarrin tells her she is pregnant. Tarrin's Druidic training begins again, in earnest. Tarrin Teleports a large group to Mala Myr for a short visit. Another sighting of the Phoenix and this time it lets them touch it. Sapphire gives Tarrin a present, a gold drake named Fireflash.

Chapter 13: Triana arrives, telling Tarrin that the Hierarchs have asked her to deal with Stragos Bane, the Were Hunter. Tarrin strikes a bargain with Shiika, asking her to kill Stragos Bane. Tarrin finds Shiika eating breakfast with his mother when he arrives to take his parents to Suld. Tarrin threatens Shiika with his sword. Tarrin encourages Anayi to leave home. Tarrin visits with Janette, who is gravitating towards being a merchant. Tarrin sees Azakar, who tells him that Stragos Bane is in Suld. Darvon puts Azakar in charge of killing Bane, grooming him to take over the Knights when he retires. Elke beats Ulgar in a sparring match.

Chapter 14: Triana and Saphire arrive to continue Tarrin's Druidic teaching. Tarrin gives Jesmind a lute. Tarrin finishes his Druidic training, with Triana tasking him with coming up with a new spell on his own.

Chapter 15: Tarrin's group gets ready to go to Wikuna for the birth of Kerri's baby. They Teleport to Suld to pick up everyone else, but upon arriving Tarrin senses an evil presence and goes to battle it. They battle in the center of Suld and no magic Tarrin possesses can affect Bane. Stragos Bane morphs into a shadow of the dead god, Val. Tarrin flees but is forced to turn and fight. At the last moment before his destruction, Tarrin's black sword appears and he grasps it, becoming one with it's mysterious power. Tarrin becomes a God, with wings of fire. He destroys the shadow of Val and collapses, retaining the wings.

Chapter 16: The Goddess tells Tarrin they they knew about Val's shadow and let the fight happen in order to see if Tarrin was capable of being another defender of Sennadar, giving Spyder a much-needed break. Phandebrass helps Tarrin understand some of the properties of his wings as they wait to Teleport to Wikuna.

Chapter 17: The group Teleports to Wikuna. Tarrin discovers that he can retract the wings to where no one can see them. Tarrin Teleports himself to Mara Myr where he is visited by Ahiriya. Kerri delivers her son, and names him Faalken. Tarrin tells everyone that Faalken is the tenth sui'kun.

Chapter 18: Shiika arrives to greet the new baby and presents Kerri with a present, a Hellhound, who Kerri names Shadow. Shiika also informs everyone that her daughter Anayi caused quite a disruption when she bolted from her palace. Tarrin has a long talk with Shiika about his new powers. Tarrin and Allia are named Prince and Princess of Wikuna, respectively. Tiela is pregnant and receives a Hellhound from Shiika, who she and Dar name Blackfire.

Chapter 19: Shiika delivers a Hellhound for Kimmie, which she names Forge. Shiika storms into Kerri's apartments demanding Tarrin remove the geas he put on her. Tarrin decides to learn to use his power and we learn that he is being watched and "motivated" by five gods, Niami, Fara'Nae, Karas, Kikkalli, and Ahiriya.

Chapter 20: Anayi arrives at Tarrin's house and asks to be apprenticed to Kimmie. Jeri and Thean show up for a visit. Tarrin, Jasana, and July create a tower for Kimmie in the back yard. Tarrin helps to rebuild Suld. Kimmie begins to teach Tarrin Torian. Tarrin learns to fly.
