Re: Kit - Chapter 34 - Spoilers
But...but that would be predictable , and thus not an example of Evile by your very own definition! Would not true Evile require a schroedinger box, that it be either predictable or unpredictable, but our not knowing which without opening said box, akin to Pandora, releasing Evile to determine if E...

Re: Kit - Chapter 34 - Spoilers
Kit as the one who reside in Stonebrook I doubt that, but if Uncle Brian and family or even Tom and family were moved into one wing after Kit and Jes went home, just to act as "caretakers," it would drive Zach and crew right up the wall. I think he will end up as the good / go-to / advice...

Re: Kit - Chapter 26 - Spoilers
Editing note: The first morning of their stay at the Liberty needs to have one of the following changes made to be temporally correct. a) They have to get up about eight instead of about nine. -or- b) Vil has to be picking them up at noon with an eleven wake-up (instead of 11 and 10). -or- c) They o...

Kit - Chapter 26 - Spoilers
Kit, Kit, Kit (shakes head), alcohol is not the way to cure hangovers. Trying to cure a hangover with alcohol is like trying to cure sunburn with a cold bath, it doesn't work and it's bad for you. Alcohol is a poison and your body processes it out of your system through the liver with final waste pr...

Re: Lost & Found
I was re-reading joe-j's Twice Lucky and remembered another story that may be in the same universe, or not - it just triggered the flash. An advanced being is sentenced to provide a dying wish for everyone on Earth until certain conditions are met. One man lives life three or four times. Last one be...

Re: Unification - Chapter 1 - Spoilers
Well ... That answers that. I thought there was still one question remaining, but I can't find confirmation of my presumption anywhere in the text. It does say that a gravity well will prevent you going into hyperspace. I was mis-reading the implication in Insurrection ch. 4; apparently a gravity we...

Re: Unification - Chapter 1 - Spoilers
The reason given for towing the ships was to help each other in case of engine failure. It was said that if the engines failed, then the ships could be "lost" in hyperspace, and stuck there. It seems that the engines are needed to enter / leave hyperspace. A ship that had engine failure m...

Re: Unification - Chapter 1 - Spoilers
::puts on beanie cap with the little propeller on top:: Okay, now that I've got my thinkin' hat on, let's review what we know, then I'll try to warp my mind and get into the evil twisted head space of the one who's words we wait for. Hyperspace is an upper dimension not perceivable by us 3D beings. ...

Re: Unification - Chapter 1 - Spoilers
Can someone else please read through the last few chapters of Insurrection and find the bit where the Interdictor was discovered - I believe it mentioned that it only prevented entering/exiting hyperspace in a certain radius - it didn't effect communications. It’s called a Hyperspace Interdictor. I...

Re: Kit - Chapter 25 - Spoilers
Thanks, Fel. I knew there'd be some suitably Vulpan machinations going on there. Oooh! I can see Vil saying, "I'm sorry Kit, but you have to take the jet. The only hanger space anywhere withing 200 miles will only take jets." Mwa hahaha! Or, "The only way I could get hanger ...

Kit - Chapter 25 - Spoilers
Another good chapter. But Kit certainly isn't as poor as I thought. With 1000 shares of being 1.666% of the stock and Vil's 66.666% pulling in $12 million in dividends, that gets Kit about 200 thousand after tax dollars a year. Which would allow him to buy a pretty darn nice house free and clear wit...

Re: Kit, chapter 24.
Thanks for another great chapter Fel.
Two proofing notes: I believe it's milquetoast, not milktoast. And "...for a over a five dollar bet..." should probably be just "...for a five...".

Re: Spirit Walker, chapter 21.
Sounds more like this "The March of Cambreadth, I really like that song. but I was drawn more to Barry because of the line mentioning not believing in war. Anyway, I'm certainly in a quandary as I'm into this story-line and want to get on with it, but I also want more of the subjugation univer...

Yay! Another great chapter and a logical end to book 1. Why do I keep hearing Barry McGuire singing in my head ... ?
