Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

They likely let small craft and escape pods retreat to the moon, to make it easier to secure local space, and identity beings positions on the surface.

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

Do the benga know that some of the confederation is not limited by interdiction and a lot of the races involved can at least jump out of the effect? That could be deeply suprising to the fleet, they might not be expecting up close battle. I think the whole surrender to fight another day is dependent...

Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

I loved the epic ground battle, all I could think was just how long until this battle will end up on Vamguard. It is the sole ground battle that the whole confederation took part in. There must be tons of recorded material concerning the battle, scans and sensor readings. The accumulated data would ...

Re: Retribution, chapter 4, (spoilers)

Did you not read the last book? Due to the diffuser countering their torsion weaponry, they refitted those guns to being ion weaponry. that is what was written in the story line. These were viable threats against the confederation. They did get intelligence the enemy has diffusion. So they would be ...

Re: Retribution, chapter 4, (spoilers)

I a, guessing they are desperately calling in for support, and due to them realizing the threat of interdiction, ships will be getting stuck in open space, so open to being defeat in detail. I think they only stop sending in ship. If they truly believe they can't defeat the confederation forces and ...

Re: Retribution, chapter 4, (spoilers)

So while they they are securing the planet, they will be fending off the larger space force. The thing is it will take time to move through local space meaning the will be under constant bombardment. We have seen that the benga see their only choice is knife fighting range. I suppose that could chan...

Re: Retribution, chapter 4, (spoilers)

The Graf might have infinite range, but I bet at a certain point it begins to disperse on it own.

For the really powerful rail gun slugs, they can't maintain integrity on a long term basis. The slugs themselves begin to disperse.

Re: Retribution, chapter 4, (spoilers)

I wonder how high his rank. It seems like the syndicate ships will have epic losses, but he might be one of the highest ranked officers on the small craft. He might end up in charge of attempts to combat the confess or simply Incharge of the POW. The QE communication systems might have been too simp...

Re: Retribution, chapter 4, (spoilers)

I think the moon is the only habitable location in system. So if the confederation denies the enemy hyperspace access in this system, then the only way for surviving benga forces to keep living, due to their damaged, destroyed or adandoned ship, is to evacuate to the moon. Not really the safest opti...

Re: Retribution, chapter 3, (spoilers)

As far as the syndicate is aware of, for one of their super ships to be destroyed is prolonged bombardment and firepower. So while they might take damage, their heavy armament can take out the enemy ships. It takes time for indication to fully cove a system, so they might not know just where their s...

Retribution, chapter 4, possible ideas and theories (spoilers)

On the update thread, it was mentions the esteemed author has began work on the next installment. I thought we might as we start posting until it is ready. We guess we will see the big con. Jason tricking the benga into abandoning the dreamers, due to rigged precognition. To their knowledge a terrib...

Re: Retribution, chapter 3, (spoilers)

While the syndicate could be aware of the abilities of the kArrine ships, they won't realise the true scale of their ability of unleashing destruction against their ships. It is unprecedented to them that ships so small could be such a viable threat to ships so big and armed/armored. They would be m...

Re: Retribution, chapter 3, (spoilers)

I just realised something, the moon sized ships are really self sufficient, they literally have their own farms on board. So the benga might very well send forces of them into any discovered indictored space. They would believe such a force would be able to fulfil their orders once they got into ran...

Re: Retribution, chapter 3, (spoilers)

I like the Oye trees because they are giant magical trees, that apparently give really delicious fruit. How can you not?

Re: Retribution, chapter 3, (spoilers)

Oye products are in high demand in the confederation, it seems if you can digest the stuff, then it is a big favorite. So I can see any tree on earth or draconis at least getting the minimum amount of care from the locals. Say Jason gives the dreamers a tree, want to bet the oracles will have all so...
