Re: Lost & Found
remember about a year ago I was asking about a huge fanfiction, about nightbane, highlander, gargoyles and stuff? I found out the title, but I can't find the file hosted anywhere. It's called the Persistence of Time by Jim Cannon. I think he went by the pen name of Gargoyle. If you could do me a hug...

Re: Good Books (Scifi)
Just 22 hours, and 30 mins or so until the next Harry Potter story comes out.
I know it's not really Sci Fi, but hell, it's a good read. and I'm totally a Potterphile.
Bring on the angst of youth! wohoo!

Re: Lost & Found
Ok, this is a good challenge. I finished reading a novel online in about 98?-99? It was a crossover of everything from Nightbane, Highlander, Gargoyle, Vampire, Werewolf, and Faerie, as well as some plain magic and even Wraith. Main hero was called Percy, a greek immortal who used a titianium lamina...

Sick as a Dog
I hate summer flus. I'm stuck in bed and thank the lord almighty that I opted for the wireless network for my laptop. I've just finished reading all of the Tarrin books and might I say DAMN that's a lot of reading. I'm still looking foward to the new subjugation (hint hint) and might I say, Alpha P...

Re: Guildwars
Guildwars rules!!! I'm having great time, looking for skillz so I can kick ass. One of the most statisfying aspects of the game in my opinion, you gotta play to learn the skills, you just don't get them for grinding levels. Mesmer/Monk Sancria Kaliorinin BTW, this is just a small tip, if you are st...

Re: Good Books (Scifi)
This thread started out just Sci Fi, but lately it's just everywhere there's good reading that's kinda scifi/fantasy Thus, I'd like to introduce LE Modsett's (I hope i spelt it right) "Legacies" which though a bit dry, at least kept me occupied for 4 hours. Actually, most of his stuff is p...

Hmm..
Helm by Steven Gould is has Aikido in it. It got me interested enough in Aikido to get my black belt in it.
Lots of pain and lots of sweat, but worth the effort

Re: Anyone know a Martial Art?
Hmm..just thought I'd throw in my opinion about the Aikido vs Judo/Jujuitsu debate that seems to be brewing (at least that Im trying to start) I've studied both and I've achieved at least my first dan in both styles. Both have much to offer a practioner, in terms of fitness and ability. How they ach...

Ok, a psionic story...
This is about a teleport, but still, rates as one of my favourite books ever, simple and engrossing.
Steven Gould's, "Jumper" about David Rice, the most humble and believable protaganist ever

Re: Good Books (Scifi)
Just finished reading R.A. Salvatore's new Drizzt novel, called "The Thousand Orcs"
Dont' waste your time reading it. Pure drivel. However, the next book in the series looks like it will be a kick ass combat book like his original three books.

Re: sub9 released
An even simpler method for breaking down shields that deflect on multiple quantum states would be to coat a round with carribuim (sic) because it's so dense it could affect those states.
An iron core that was wrapped in phase cloth, then had carribuim annealed to it would do plenty of damage.

Re: Anyone know a Martial Art?
nor this matter was a special interest of mine. But as far as I know (please correct me if I'm mistaken) that katana is two (or one-and-a-half) handed sable (curved sword). The sable was invented (if I remember correctly) by Arabs, 'cause the turbans are good defence against straight sword, with tho...
