Re: Webhosting: Experiences, Suggestions, etc?

I asked a friend and she came up with this: http://www.ehostingbiz.com/hosting.asp The USD$5/month plan doesn't have MS-SQL (though it does have MYSQL and Access muhahah) The USD$10/month plan has MSSQL 2000 and it totals out cheaper than HostOnce (if you want to pay the extra for MSSQL from hostonc...

Re: Webhosting: Experiences, Suggestions, etc?

I take it you require PERL because it's what YaBB runs on and you'd want to keep the current forum messages without  exporting all the messages to a different forum software. Also wanting MS-SQL - I'm guessing for personal use? - not MYSQL even though MYSQL is what most forums use ;)

Re: About the Firestaff

Well....I don't know if it will appear in the chapters or not, I'm not sure how Fel would add it. The story behind it is fairly interesting and does go a ways to explain...things. Put it this way I'll tell you when the books are finished if Fel doesn't :p (I really should stop stealing Fels job  ;D ...

Re: WARNING: This is for those with Win XP

Unless more code had been leaked it was the Win2k/NT core, still some of that code is also in Windows XP so I wouldn't be surprised if the exploits that come about from the leaked Win2k/NT code affect XP also. Personally I don't think the leaking should prompt updates, people should do it anyway and...

Re: what does it mean to you

I agree in a way, I was somewhat perturbed/annoyed at MISER for putting the challenge to Fel, considering he writes for his own pleasure, puts great books up for free, etc. It was sad to see someone basically say: "You're not allowed to help me possibly view things from more than a narrow/one s...

Re: Not sure if this has been asked before

Also, Triana's spell leaves her in the same dimension I think, but pushes her slightly out of the time/space continum(sp?).  That way she can move herself faster through a smaller amount of time.  When she created that spell, it was probably a version of the druid's ability to speed themselves up t...

Re: Terry Goodkind book

I have to agree with Greyfin here though I don't mean to make it an insult MD, I've read the whole Sword of Truth series and when you first mentioned the darker side I of the books it took me awhile to remember back to what you ment because the darker side didn't strike me 'dark enough' to warrent r...

Re: Not sure if this has been asked before

Sorry Mike but you're wrong ;)

I asked Fel this question quite awhile back and yes you can become a god even if you're a demi god (infact it would make you more powerful because you're starting at a higher level) and all it takes it 1 true, absolute believer :)

Re: Please don't hurt me

We're fine with the junkie-like checking, there is no silly. :p

The chapters just come out as Fel creates them, there is almost a schedule but its sometimes broken depending on what Fel has to do irl or if he feels the need to rewrite parts of a the chapter. :)

Re: backup site down

Lochar could have put up a dyndns without a popup he just wants to be able to hide the fact its on a non standard port *shrug* Or you could use a browser which doesn't suck ;) aimed at Mike not Gustav. Mozilla FireBird is so the way to go has tabbing, popup blocking, extentions/mods available. MyIE2...
