I totally agree. If you write a story for online publication, don't expect people to pay for them. It's the internet. Do it for fun, or don't do it. Due to more free time than expected, I expect to have chapter 17 done in the next couple of days. It's running a little long, and since this is a somewhat extensive sidestory/plot advancement away from the main war plot, it was a little easier to write. Battles and wars aren't easy to write. That looks more like wet concrete or sand to me, not liquification of concrete. The windows in the background are still in one piece (not shattered), so there couldn't have been that much shaking...

We have pretty much everything out here: bears, coyote, cougar, etc. Most of the time, I just let them be. They aren't hurting me or anyone I know. However, I will defend myself if one ever attacks me.

Actually, wrong. There is no mention of the "Rapture" ANYWHERE in the biblical texts, not even the texts not included in the various versions of the bibles. The Rapture is an invention of a single evangelical preacher from the late 1800's, whose name I don't recall off the top of my head....
