Fel's sorry it took so long?!
Picking up the latest chapter of Kit (which, as usual, rocked) I noticed Fel's 'apology' for the 'delay' of chapter release. I damn near died of a coughing fit. Delay??? Maybe I'm just reading the wrong authors. One of my favorite stories (or in this case, story universes) is/are those of Whateley A...

Re: What's this thing called, anyway?
So the name of the story is Kit? Just Kit?
Mmm. I think I'll just come up with something for my personal copy at home. *shrug*
The history lesson was interesting, though. Thanks!

What's this thing called, anyway?
Okay, so 31 chapters into the story I'm going to ask the question I've been wondering about since chapter 2 or 3.
What is the title of Kit's story? is it just Kit? Did I miss it somewhere?
If it's still untitled, don't you think it's time to have a contest of suggestions for Fel or something?

Re: FIFER
Ah yes... the wiseass bugs bunny quote. I'm sure the city of albuquerque hasn't heard *that* one before. *grin*
How much would someone like to bet that somewhere in that city at some point in time, there was a sign that said "Turn left, Bugs! TURN LEFT!"

Re: question for fel
Oh. Regarding Wheel of Time. I tried reading the first book of the series. I couldn't even get through the first chapter, so I gave it up. Does it start extremely slow, and then pick up later in the book? Because if I'm going to choke down that much text I want a nice big reward for it at some point...

Re: question for fel
Expect? No. But I'd be *reeeeally* dissapointed if they didn't. I'm chronic depressive. I read stories to escape my real life. I don't *need* bad endings. So I try to avoid stories that look to lean that way at first glance. But do I expect all the stories I read to end up happy? Nope. And sometimes...

Re: What Story would make the best Movie?
Bruwhaaa?? You didn't like the Hunchback of Notre Dame? It wasn't the best in the classical literature, but it's not the worst either. And it's certainly one of the better books ever written. *Shrugs* Naturally the subject depends on personal opinion, for which everyone has at least one. Maybe it's...

Re: What Story would make the best Movie?
Movies based on books are never (or at least very seldom) as good as the books themselves. *Nods* I agree. The one glaring exception that I know of is The Hunchback of Notre Dame. That book was so bad that even the cutesy Disney movie was better. Tarrin's stuff would make the finest anime ever crea...

Re: Music (Contains mild spoilers for Subjugation)
It's a different type of Talk radio than what you probably meant, but I've been tempted to call into "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me" quite a few times. It's a news quiz show that NPR (National Public Radio) runs.J-Man5 wrote:Even scarier is to find myself listening to Talk radio and wanting to call in.

Re: Music (Contains mild spoilers for Subjugation)
I had a nasty pair of ear infections as young child, and as a result have been half deaf in one ear and a quarter in the other for most of my life. Maybe hating songs where you can't hear the lyrics is a hard-of-hearing thing? I'll find myself listening to old songs as well. Then again, you can't ge...

Re: Music (Contains mild spoilers for Subjugation)
I forgot to mention, any song (especially rock, heavy metal, grunge, anything with heavy electric guitar usage) where you can't make out the lyrics drives me *insane.* What's the point of singing words if people can't understand them? I understand the voice as an instrument, but if you're singing ju...

Re: Music (Contains mild spoilers for Subjugation)
I'm pretty eclectic, depending on my mood. I'll give anything a try if I haven't heard it before. I tend to like all of the mainstream genres except angry heavy metal and (most of all) rap. Even then there are exceptions. I like Baby Got Back and one of the rap songs off DC Talk's "Jesus Freak&...

*Raises and eyebrow* I tend to recomend Fel's works to whomever will listen to me, but you're suggesting an add campaign?
Intriguing. How many people would be willing to join in?

Re: What Story would make the best Movie?
*Shrugs* Having not played any of the three current systems, I'll leave debating what system has the best graphics to those who have. I was thinking of a single player RPG, myself. If someone tried an online multiplayer version, you're right. Throw in Druid Heirarchs, High Priests, and Master Mages ...

Re: What Story would make the best Movie?
I agree that your average 2 hour movie would be a horrible injustice to the travels of Tarrin Kael. That said, could you imagine what hollywood could do with some of the more epic battles? I for one would drool to see Tarrin's duel with the Red Dragon at the end of book 4. Better yet... My roommate'...
