Re: Re: Retribution (chapter 6) - spoilers!

The benga are still likely unaware of the newest trick which was used to steal Aria from the flagship. so that could be used to cause much chaos as they go after the remaining oracles trapped in enemy hands. If a large enough explosive is left behind then, then it is entirely possible they will assu...

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

What if those ancient aliens only seeded the telepathic upgrade? It cause other changes, which in some cases made creatures from different worlds able to have geneticly viable children.

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

There was a mass extinction event on draconis, that they could blame a lack of bio diversity on the planet. And biological samples could have been bio formed to better be suited to the draconis Eco system.

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

Since it is possible that humans transformed by a retrovirus that their telepathy would be dormant, would anyone notice such a change. They might simply pass it off a common cold. It does seem that humans are highly compatable with telepathy, so the change might not be do drastic for humanity.

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

They not only need to have the genes for telepathy, but they need telepathic contact to awAken it. Either constistant long term exposure, or powerful in depth contact. The faey population on earth has boomed, there are likely vast regions when people feel no telepathy.

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

I don't think they would all be 100% telepaths, but the gift does breed true. So any descendant of a telepath is always a telepath. Or at least has the gift dormant, waiting to be awaken with telepathic contact. If there are human offshoots accross the galaxcy, I want them to be linked together by O...

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

That might not be true about nightmares being the most effective way, just the way to force visions on demand. The dreamers did hide their prophercised and their own oracles from the Benga. The benga would never have allowed the dreamers oracles, and their own security protocols would be different t...

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

We assume the dreamers are not naturally occurring, somewhere in their past, their genes were altered. So imagine the potential of the generation augementation meeting the oracle augementation, we have seen unexpected reactions concerning the dormant retrovirus involved. Say while Jason is setting u...

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

Originally, Jason believed the oracle system to be some kind of increadibly advanced predictive computer. So what if he created a biogenic predictive analysis computer, then had a precog capable generation commune with it. A viable precog system that does not harm the oracle.

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

Do we know if precognition breeds true? All faey and dreamers are telepathic, and every generation can commune and use telekinesis. But that might not be true for all gift or telepathic races. Just because a race has a potential for something, does not guarantee its appearenCe or strength. Say one d...

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

Most advanced tech of the benga was stolen from the consortium, which was stolen from some Karrine refugees. There is no guarantee their medical tech progressed to similar levels. It is true they did not risk the consortium becoming aware of the oracles, but also they wanted to ensure no single corp...

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

In addition, they can use this system and fleet, to keep the syndicate full attention while the kimdori go after those dreamers that were stolen away. They went from a population of millions to thousands. It might not even be a viable number. They can't be locked into VR all the time, as they need t...

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

Anti matter is a tech that is quite common, the benga just really miniaturized and boosted the power. Do we know how much of a radiation fall out this tech? If there is too much residual radiation, then the benga would risk environmental contamination at every battle site. I am hoping very little th...

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

I am pretty sure the fleet in already in system or just about to enter.

While the confederation does not want a war, they do want to send a statement to the syndicate.

Re: Retribution, chapter 5, (spoilers)

Those super ships are very powerful, won't their detonation cause damage to the other ships in the fleet? Even if they disperse the fleet, it risks them being vulnerable to close up attacks. At least together they can share targeting and weapon firing. The benga have the suprising powerful anti matt...
