Re: Spirit Walker - Spoilers - Chapters 1 through part of 14

Basically what I'm saying is that the development of better weapons didn't change the way in which hunter/gatherers treated women. That is a societal thing and as I said there were variations in societies all over the world, but in general, men in hunter/gatherer societies hunted and women cared for...

Re: Spirit Walker - Spoilers - Chapters 1 through part of 14

things were done by neccessity not by what gender you were. True, but the training necessary for hunting was usually passed on to the young male child and the training for preserving or preparing food was often passed on to young women, but please don't assume that was a blanket situation in any an...

Re: Spirit Walker - Spoilers - Chapters 1 through part of 14

Sorry, AntiCarrot, but I have to disagree with your idea that there was no sexism in the hunter/gatherer societies. You see a some of my relatively recent ancestors were what would now be classed as 'hunter/gatherers' - I am Metis, so some of my ancestors happened to be natives of the North American...

Re: FYI.

Well, if you want to try a good writer, but one who writes in a totally different style, you could try the stories written by a friend of mine, Wes Boyd: http://www.spearfishlaketales.com/others.htm. I rather enjoy how Wes writes.

Gee, one post and I got an avalanche.

And thanks for the clarification, Fel, that's much appreciated and clarifies at least one question I had.

Re: Spirit Walker - Spoilers

I think it's rather interesting that the shadowfox wants Kyvin to act independently of the others. I'm also surprised to note that she has told Kyvin flat out that he is weaker than all the other Shaman and that he'd need ' help ' to change from his present form and go back to being a human. Somehow...

Re: Spirit Walker, chapter 13.

I didn't see punch cards 'till freshman year in college. Back in high school we had a "state of the art" ASR 33 Teletype with paper tape reader and tape punch. It was connected to the GE Timesharing service, which offered GE FORTRAN. Well, guy, I was one of the people who serviced those t...

Re: Spirit Walker - Spoilers

Ok that might knock the shadowfox out as Toby, he could be another Spirit all together.
I can't see that myself, but for a totally different reason than others have mentioned. It's far too simple and Fel loves complexities.

Re: woohoo!

It's a custom build.
Well, what OS are you using? Maybe one of us can help. :?
I bought a system last year and the bios came set for an additional soundboard, but I wanted to use the onboard sound system, so I had to modify the bios. It's just a soft switch.

Re: Spirit Walker - Spoilers

I assume that is when Kyven returns to human form,,, with all of the Shaman present, and all of Haven to go into an uproar,,,, and Dana to witness. And Toby??? How would the Blue Ring of Allamar react to him bringing back a human, claiming that he is actually an Arcan fox? It would appear that Toby...

Re: Spirit Walker, chapter 12.

You surprised me, Fel. I wasn't expecting a chapter for a few more days.

I was actually just cruising around the web after doing a regular Sunday evening download from BtFH (G.M.Wylie's site)
