Re: The Mayan Prediction
Welcome to the next age. All babies born from this day forward are all mutants who will destroy the world. Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, my sister-in-law had her first daughter yesterday. She said Seriana was her Apocalypse Baby. This is my second niece, both of which were born this y...

Thanks Fel..! First..!
My advice? That I should stay out of it, and let you do what you think is right.

Re: well all things considered
My biggest problems with the Corporations is that they are LITERALLY given the same rights as an individual. That is completely insane to me. How such a thing ever got passed into law is so far beyond me. I don't necessarily have problems with the rich, it is the unscrupulous scoundrels that step on...

Re: well all things considered
Fel, with all due respect (and your stories have earned you a lot of respect from me!) I thing the racism your attributing to the TEA party is a regional thing. I grew up in Ohio and my grandmother was raised in WV and I heard plenty about how racist and 'hillbilly' people from WV were. Of course t...

Re: well all things considered
Suggesting that you (or anyone else) knows all the possible circumstances leading to pregnancy and that you can declare just a few reasons as a legitimate cause for termination is preposterous. Even if you could - to permit others to control the body of another is enabling virtual slavery. I would ...

Agreed, my friend..!
I've always believed it is more than possible to disagree without being disagreeable.

Re: well all things considered
That is the other side of it; does a conceived fetus count as a sentient being so that the termination would count as murder. That is a side I can see to a certain point, though I don't necessarily agree with it. Up to a certain extent (which I personally consider mid-to-late pregnancy), I think th...

Re: well all things considered
@Spec8472 I think the part that you are missing, is the part of personal responsibility. As some people are fond of saying, "actions have consequences", and if people aren't ready for kids, then they should act responsibly and not get themselves into situations where they might very well e...

Re: well all things considered
Well, Fel, I pretty much agree with everything you said for the most part. I'm probably not as hard as you on the Religious Right (maybe since I used to be one...), but I'm with you. I agree with your stance on Abortion 100%. The last party I was affiliated with was the Republicans, but my brother s...

Thanks Fel..! I just got back from your neck of the woods just a couple of hours ago. Visited the family at a reunion at Lake Vesuvius, just north of Ironton, Ohio on Sunday. Glad to be off the road, and finding a good read waiting..!
