Re: Lost & Found

Sounds a lot like some of Colt45's "Sea king" tales …..a least some of the kidnapping and collar parts. https://storiesonline.net/a/colt45 Phantom The Sea King stories aren't an Isekai; no one goes to another world than the one they were born in. Plus, the collars, while indeed having eff...

What you need is a battle suit, of course.
With a well-educated AI that knows just how you are supposed to move, and properly adjusts for the terrain...

They never talk about how useful they'd be for physical therapy in the various SF genres that feature them.

I do recognize that name...

It's always worrisome when someone goes silent for a long time, nice to see you are alive and well.

Re: Lost & Found

Does anyone remember this story? Man and woman is kidnapped from earth to a new planet. There is a hall on the planet where women are collared (I think) and the collar keeps their arousal up as punishment. the collar prevents them from reaching orgasm and they only get release by random chance? It'...

Re: Update?

Dunno about the fermented Yak's Milk... Kumiss. I had some homebrewed Kumiss once. I've done enough brewing myself to know that sometimes you get it wrong. I hope to Gnu that's what happened in that instance. If not, if that really was what it was supposed to taste like, I have a new theory concerni...

Ryk Spoor is very good. I'm pretty sure I mentioned his Princess Holy Aura in the Links to Good Reading thread.

Re: Need some new author recommendations!

Well, you may or may not like Lazlo Zalezac over on SOL, I'd recommend starting with his Jade Force of Misera, as it ties in with the Mil SF theme (to an extent).

Re: Lost & Found

Hadn't checked here for a bit, but if I'd seen GBLW's initial post that's precisely what I would have directed you to. I might not have come up with the title or which collection, as I've had to drastically downsize my library, but that Lord Kalvin was a modification of another story by Piper which ...

Re: Lost & Found

The last stable backup of Artie's stories on the Wayback Machine is http://web.archive.org/web/20111121131633/http://www.asstr.org/~artie/index.html ; it was taken on November 21, 2011, less than a month prior to his taking everything down. It only has Time of Arrival through Chapter 9. Given the po...

Re: Sad day

I'm not sure I'd say we're used to this type of thing in the US, but the unfortunate truth is that segments of our populations with political influence appear to feel that it's an acceptable price to pay for basically no restrictions upon private ownership of rapid fire weaponry. They don't put it q...

Re: Earth Bond, chapter 29.

Thank you, Fel! I'm very behind on reading your work, but download it religiously so that when I next feel the inclination I will have it. I'm a binge reader of authors and genres, you see. And right now, it's Light Novel translations... and subbed Anime and scanlated Manga. But I have no doubt that...
