Re: Who would you pick?
Definitely Kimmie. One, she's the only one who wouldn't immediately dump me for my passive aggressive personality. Two, the the only one who wouldn't immediately kill me for suggesting any of my more kinky ideas. I think. ... maybe not. Joking aside, her personality most closely matches mine out of ...

Re: Question about book summaries
I've got a horrible memory, so when I want to read a chapter in the middle of a storyline (assuming I don't just start from the beginning yet again) I usually refer to your summaries. They are extremely helpful for me personally.

Oh my gosh! That was CLASSIC! I'm literally in tears from laughter. I haven't had that much fun since I read the first few chapters of the story. WOW!

*Notes Miser's post* Hey! Fel even gets a draw from old veterans. Says something about his writing, eh? Not that everyone else who reads this board doesn't already agree... The Scott said: -- today, we are more likely to vote against someone than for them. And on that subject, does anyone else live ...

*Disclaimer* This borders on a personal attack. It is not meant as one. Just stating a personal belief about someone else. Bush's policies are rarely *his* policies. He gets the flak, but a very high percentage of the time they're coming from whatever personal interest group or political activist gr...

Excuse me for my ignorance, but what's grinding?
Sounds like the tedious period of time you spend leveling up a character by repeatedly killing the same monsters, but I'm not sure.

Re: I like Fel's main characters, what other books have similar?
Actually, writing pace isn't what bothers me about Warlord. It's part of his style that always gets to me. Has anyone ever noticed that he loads his main characters down with huge armories worth of weapons, and only uses certain ones? Does the same thing with women. Surrounds the character with a be...

Re: I like Fel's main characters, what other books have similar?
Really powerful characters? I've got one for you if you can stomach the early writing. Enterprise1701 D writes the phalanx series, about a teenager named Fred who does the impossible at least once a day before breakfast. Saving earth from an alien invasion, fighting off evil gods, telling off the go...

Re: How did eveyone find out about the Firestaff series?
I came in while the early parts of Axe were being written. The first *reference* to Tarrin Kael was someone posting a link to the Frank Downey yahoo group. (I vaguely recall the linker saying something about EWP.org, so there ya go.) I didn't actually read it until a week or two later, when a friend...

http://www.nickmidian.com/ I got bored, and decided to run through the links list again from the start. This quote is the fourth entry of the first page. My question, primarily to MommyDoom or whomever has read this site is- can these novels be read by someone who has never seen an episode of Buffy...

Yes, you could make it professionally. No, you shouldn't change your major. Finish it, then if writing professionally doesn't work out, you'll have something to fall back on. The website would be immaterial, but put up the paypal link(s). Those of us who don't have the cash can always ignore it/them...

*Nods* Me too.
On that note: *Looks to the admins* Would ya'all mind changing the ranks back? I don't know if you can do it individually, but if for some reason you don't want to make a 'general' change I'd just be happy with having my 'novice' back.
