Re: Lost & Found
Yeah they are. I read all of A time for heroes a couple of months ago. Great, great story. I emailed some people I found on a web-forum dedicated to the author's stories asking for all of FoJ. The last post on the forum was in Sept 2006, so it doesn't appear to be very active. The last post I could ...

I think that there are many chapters missing. I just opened it, and it has fires001 to fires020, then part 125, part 127, and xmas01 and xmas04.
I just finished chapter 20. I need more!!

Re: MMORPG games and characters
I have played a number of the MMOs out there: Everquest: about 2 months, but got really turned off by the camping Anarchy Online: Free, just never really got a hold of me City of Heroes: Loved it. Burnt out over the last couple of months, so I am letting my subscription lapse after almost 2 1/2 year...

Re: Links to Good Reading (Part 2)
http://www.intwiz.com/Fovea.aspx - the link is one of those above As the website is now, you can't read all of book one online for free. Only the first 3 chapters. After that, it appears that you need to buy it. The second book in the series does appear to be free for reading online though. Marcel

Re: Some Inconsistances in Subjugation?
The point I was trying to make here was a response to the post that the Faey wouldn't or couldn't devastate the Earth just to gain control of it. The fact that House trilanne were attempting that action shows that they were in fact willing to do just that. True. Also, the Kimdori Clanmother says it...

Re: question conserning the sword (spoiler - topic has ref ch8)
I imagine that most beings in the multiverse would be upset at the prospect of a demon lord holding that power. The firestaff has enough power to withstand the might of a God on his Home Plane... To someone like the Demon Lord, who already has so much power, it would be very very bad. actually, the...

Re: Some Inconsistances in Subjugation?
<LARGE SIGH> <Shakes Head> Ok for one thing ... Why did Earth roll over and surrender ... Because Fel decided it would be better for the story. I also saw Anti pushing that the Faey wanted Earth as a Farming community we could have fought back as they wouldn't have wanted to damage the earth and wo...

Re: Some Inconsistances in Subjugation?
In the end, it is a fiction story. As much as you hate it, if Fel says it is so, then it is so. Fiction is, by definition, made up. That means that Fel sets all the rules. He makes all the decisions. He decides what the characters know, how they act. If the story is better because the United Nations...

Re: Links to Good Reading (Part 2)
Here is another one: http://www.sitelane.com/ebooks/delvermagic1/ A rolling tremor passes through the land of Uton signaling a return of long absent magic as well as an ancient evil that accompanies it. Ryson Acumen, purebred delver, senses the changes throughout the land. In his investigations, he ...

Re: Some Inconsistances in Subjugation?
Fel actually said more-or-less what I did in the Prologue: I think you might be missing my point. I'm not claiming Fel said otherwise, I am saying that I'm not sure Fel took sufficient care to separating 'what he knew' and 'what his characters believe.' Not really. Because Fel is writing the story,...

Re: Some Inconsistances in Subjugation?
<snip> I still find the universal surrender unbelievable, unless the world leaders were being telepathically prodded. Logically if the Faey want the planet there is a limit to how much damage they can do, and in a conventional war the Humanity might stand a chance against an enemy at the end of a l...

Re: Some Inconsistances in Subjugation?
If they pick someone less qualified over someone more qualified, yeah. But in this case I mentioned two people with equivalent qualifications... And in specific reference to Jyslin trying for a position in Engineering in the Royal Navy... “Probably even more so,” she agreed. “The Imperial military i...

Re: Some Inconsistances in Subjugation?
I am not sure about the corruption (would be difficult with telepaths), Selection for officer core naval training does seem more dependent on who you know, rather than what. Like the British Navy before Nelson. I believe Jyslin (or one of the other characters) wanted to be an engineer, but couldn't...

Re: Lochar, Fiferguy - Good News!
Speaking of Vista, there was just a commercial on TV about it. The commercial was entitled something to the effect of "Wow," comparing getting Vista to getting a piece of the Berlin Wall, a Child's first snow, and a few other things. I thought it was rather cheezy, but what do you expect?...

Re: Some Inconsistances in Subjugation?
Now maybe she wanted to let them hang themselves by letting them seem to get away with it, but to me right there would have been enough to take earth away from the Trililanes There is a lot of corruption in the Imperium. If other houses were running 'sweat shop' style enterprises, they would band b...
