Re: Update?

Dunno about the fermented Yak's Milk... Kumiss. I had some homebrewed Kumiss once. I've done enough brewing myself to know that sometimes you get it wrong. I hope to Gnu that's what happened in that instance. If not, if that really was what it was supposed to taste like, I have a new theory concerni...

Re: Need some new author recommendations!

Ryk Spoor is very good. I'm pretty sure I mentioned his Princess Holy Aura in the Links to Good Reading thread.

Re: Need some new author recommendations!

Well, you may or may not like Lazlo Zalezac over on SOL, I'd recommend starting with his Jade Force of Misera, as it ties in with the Mil SF theme (to an extent).

Re: Lost & Found

Hadn't checked here for a bit, but if I'd seen GBLW's initial post that's precisely what I would have directed you to. I might not have come up with the title or which collection, as I've had to drastically downsize my library, but that Lord Kalvin was a modification of another story by Piper which ...

Re: Lost & Found

The last stable backup of Artie's stories on the Wayback Machine is http://web.archive.org/web/20111121131633/http://www.asstr.org/~artie/index.html ; it was taken on November 21, 2011, less than a month prior to his taking everything down. It only has Time of Arrival through Chapter 9. Given the po...

Re: Sad day

I'm not sure I'd say we're used to this type of thing in the US, but the unfortunate truth is that segments of our populations with political influence appear to feel that it's an acceptable price to pay for basically no restrictions upon private ownership of rapid fire weaponry. They don't put it q...

Re: Earth Bond, chapter 29.

Thank you, Fel! I'm very behind on reading your work, but download it religiously so that when I next feel the inclination I will have it. I'm a binge reader of authors and genres, you see. And right now, it's Light Novel translations... and subbed Anime and scanlated Manga. But I have no doubt that...

In re SYED's question, https://forums.sennadar.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=953 And I, too, would be thrilled if there was a follow up to Legacy Chapter 1; I cry so much I can't see because of the water on my eyeglass lenses every time I read it, I'd really like to find out if the young girl succeeded i...

Re: Updatish.

Fel, Your comment on coming up on 50 and starting to feel your mortality caused me to chuckle a bit. I'll be 58 in December, and still think of myself as a kid, in some ways, even given my various physical problems. Mind, none of my ailments are as life threatening as what you've been experiencing, ...

Links to Good Webcomics; why was it locked?

I just went through the Links to Good Webcomics thread, was all set to add a couple, and realized that the reason nothing had been added in four years was that it was locked. Why? I didn't find anything objectionable there, it hadn't turned into a war zone, it was very much staying on topic, and it'...

Re: Lost & Found

I think I read the story on SOL - can't remember. But it is a story about a human who gets abducted or some how leaves earth. The one who abducts him or finds him and takes him all over the galaxy is a shape shifter or somekinda race that can change shape. She changes his shape and they explore, ma...
