Re: Forum Upgrade

The links are still there, but were moved in the new theme. They can now be found under "Quick links" at the top left, right under the banner.
Anything more will require Greymist's fiddling with the theme files.

Re: Thinking about a new Monitor, need suggestions..

You may really want to take a closer look at some of the (gaming) tech sites to inform yourself of at least the basics. They also provide good reviews of what monitors are currently good. I don't have any specific examples or suggestions, but I have had good experience with the Samsung SyncMaster li...

Re: Other Authors (RAPINA)

It's a pity really, it's a great story I would love to see it continued, but the length between chapters grows with each one.
I still remember there being new ones every few weeks, now we're lucky to be graced with one a year.

Re: Blizzard to require real names in forum posts.

Ditto Fel, I was thinking much the same. First Blizz chose to make SC2 activation mandatory with your battle.net account, that already made me very, very wary of going out any buying the game. I may still do, for the collectors edition, but I probably won't activate it, and instead get a crack to pl...

Re: Is this even possible?

There is no way for any machine to interfere with Telepathy. At least, that is what the entirety of the galactic power outside of the Karrines believe. The Karrines are the only ones who were able to develop something that could interact with telepathy, and even they had to genetically engineer half...

Re: something I'm kinda Confused about Roman Polanski

Personally, I know too little about the case, beyond what I saw and heard in the news, to defend or judge him. But the one thing that popped into my mind after hearing this the first time, was can they even still convict him? Wouldn't the case be statute-barred after this long? *shrug* Be that as it...

Re: World of Warcraft

A lot of my characters use names Fel has come up with, simply because they actually still sound like names, and tend to not be taken already.
However, Jegojah is not one of them :).

Re: The Great Migration #2 - (Partially Completed)

I've had a similar thing start up recently on my own forums. Turns out, none of them actually complete their registration, they just register (with a most likely fake email) and leave it at that. As it is, all I do now is to go into the incomplete registrations every few days and delete the whole bu...

Re: Consortium Attack - Timing

What Fel means by stating the quasar couldn't exist in the real world was not that he made it up. It's because the only quasars known to humankind are billions of light years away from us. Today theories suggest that these QUAS i Stell AR objects are super-massive black holes that form the centers o...

Re: Something I don't understand with Hybrid cars.

To try and put what Borsic said into a different phrasing, the problem is not using generators to utilize the motion of your wheels. Doing that is not really a big deal overall; there's even a small generator already in the motor to create electricity to keep your battery full. The big issue with th...

Re: Spirit Walker - Spoilers - Chapter 15

My thoughts about there being able to only be one transformation from shadow fox to arcan, is that the spirit hat to give up something crucial in order to do it. To liken it to the universe in question, it's like fitting a crystal into an alchemical device: you can no longer use the crystal for anyt...

Re: Spirit Walker - Spoilers

The way I felt it, was that the "help" needed is not necessarily help from another person, but another spirit. As in, it's not Kyven that needs help to transform, it's the Shadow Fox that needs help to set it up and/or accomplish it. Or to say it in a different manner: He would still be ab...

Re: woohoo!

The 64 bit systems biggest issue is currently driver compatibility. Once you get past that, you encounter the fact that outside of certain programs (usually high end graphics and database stuff) most things don't even support 64 bit. Windows, and the 64 bit cores themselves, are set up to work perfe...
