Revelation, Chapter 1.

Again, sorry it took so long, but I think it took me a lot longer to come to terms with the passing of my mother than I expected.

I hope it was worth the wait.

Enjoy.

Re: Question for the smart guys

Those were awesome.

I took geology in college as my science elective, and I found it absolutely fascinating. It very nearly tempted me to change majors AGAIN, but I stuck it out with Japanese.

Re: Question for the smart guys

The reason there are so many faults in the midwest-west is because the western side of the American tectonic plate has been pulled like taffy. Most of the mountains in the west are called "Fault Block" mountains, which are caused by this action. The land pulls apart, parts of it subside an...

No. If you want to compare it to any one anime, it'd be more like Maid Sama. Kato and Chihaya are just a tiny bit superhuman, while everyone around them is completely normal.

A little something while you wait.

For those who don't follow me on twitter, an explanation: To break my writer's block, I started a new project from the ground up, and I promised to post the test chapter that resulted here. Well, this is that chapter. old1.doc, which is the file name for Old Soul. Now, the other eight files are one ...

Re: Outlandish Theories? Spoilers for Subjugation and Sennadar universes

It's not quite so convoluted as that. It boils down to a very simple concept, one that explains why Tarrin has been there, and will return: the Balance is threatened, and much as what happened in the Firestaff series, the correction to this imbalance has to develop over time. In other words, what's ...

Tarrin has been to the Subjugation universe.

You've already seen him. You just didn't know it at the time.

And you will see him again.

You know I just couldn't resist doing it. ;)

Re: Search for Fel

Just to keep everyone up to date: I haven't gotten very far with ANYTHING, but all hope hasn't been lost. I tried switching to another story and working on that, thinking that it was just burnout with Subjugation, but...nothing. It was like my brain goes blank the instant I sit down and open a chapt...

Do you see my avatar, thal? I already think of bunny rabbits.

Undead ones.

That are the personification of Wrath, one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

(go read the webcomic Jack if you'd like to know more. It's gruesome, deep, and glorious.)

Re: Search for Fel

It's spring here, so I've been super-busy fixing the last traces of damage to the house and yard from the ice storm. And yes, I've had writer's block for a few weeks. I sit down to write, I WANT to write, but...just nothing. It's been super-frustrating, I haven't had writer's block this bad for this...

Mother Nature is a %@$^%#.

So, after 3 weeks, I finally have internet back in my house. For those of you not on twitter, basically what happened was we got hit with back to back ice storms. The second one hit before the ice could even melt from the first, and they coated absolutely everything in nearly 3 centimeters of ice. T...

Citadel Online, Chapter 15.

I've started on Revelation, but my laptop is acting up again. The overheating problem is back.

So my progress is going to be somewhat slow until either the fan starts working again or I take it in to have it fixed.

Re: So it's' been almost 36 hours

You must not live in a large city, Cronus. When I lived in Washington D.C., I didn't have, and didn't need, a government issued ID. The metro took me everywhere I wanted to go, so I didn't need a driver's license. The bank didn't require a government ID to open an account, so I didn't need it to ban...

How things are going.

I'm slowly starting to reassemble my life. I've almost completely emptied out the trailer nextdoor where Mom was spending the winter, and am slowly trying to put the house back together. My sister returned to Maine on Sunday, so I'm now alone here. This time after my mother has passed has been...str...

Re: It's the news you never want to get.

My mother passed away earlier today. She went from awake, alert, and happy on Christmas day to gone in just a week. We think it was Christmas. She'd been so looking forward to it, and we think that once she got there, got to say goodbye to her grandchildren and her brothers, that she was ready to go...
