That's awesome news about CO! Really love that substory! Of course, with that said, I'll inhale any content you put out.

Re: Well, hell.
Though I appreciate the gesture and the thoughtfulness, I'm not at a point yet where I would feel comfortable with something like that. It's a simple thing in my eyes. You ask for help when you NEED it, not when things don't go your way. When my house was robbed and I lost everything, I was very gr...

Re: So it's' been almost 36 hours
There have been numerous audits of voting by mail, and all of them have found that actual voter fraud (as opposed to people just screwing up honestly) is so insignificantly small so as to be non-existent. The US Military has been doing mail in voting for years, with no issues, as have numerous stat...

Re: So it's' been almost 36 hours
The problem with the US voting system is that its based on blind faith on the honest of people casting votes. There is literally no way for the government to verify that a voter is actually eligible. On top of that, we aren't even allowed to have voter id requirements because its "racist"...

Re: So it's' been almost 36 hours
The voter fraud conspiracy theories continue to boggle my mind. There are undoubtedly individual cases given the size of the country and voting population, and a few have been caught here and there. But the size of the count mitigates the effect of individual issues (whether accidental or intentiona...

Re: A long lament.
I hadn't heard of that and I that a little trouble believing that, so I did some quick searches. It seems to be technically true, but out of context. They gave support, including some staffers that donated, to the MFF (Minnesota Freedom Fund), an organization that helps individuals pay for bail when...

Re: A long lament.
... ... You'd be hard pressed to insult me, I spent nearly 15 years in the US military. We're not the easiest to insult, for the most part. That being said, the fact you call it faux news literally made me laugh. I get my news from the Left, the right, what scant few if any news sources are in the ...

Re: A long lament.
I agree with this entire post, except on the completely different side. You think it's the Trump supporters, I think it's the Biden supporters and out spoken Far Left that are pulling Democrats more and more to the Left. I agree that a Civil War is coming, I agree the nation won't be around in 10 t...

While I can't deny wishing for a new chapter, you shouldn't worry about delays. You have enough issues on your plate, and all of us can be patient.

Fel, I'm sorry to hear about such a grim prognosis. My thoughts are with you and your mother.
As others have said, your priorities to put your family first are absolutely right. Spend what time she has with her.

Re: Amazon kindle?
I hope you do reconsider, Fel. I think it would be amazing to have your books, particularly the two Firestaff series, on Kindle. I think it compares extremely well against content already there, and would be another way for us to support you.

Re: Links to Good Reading (Part 2)
I know the story you are talking about, and I vaguely remember one of my grade school teachers around 4th grade telling/discussing this story. It is a Chinese folktale, and there are many versions of it. A quick google search came up with: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/816735.The_Seven_Chinese...
