Re: Amazon kindle?

I hope you do reconsider, Fel. I think it would be amazing to have your books, particularly the two Firestaff series, on Kindle. I think it compares extremely well against content already there, and would be another way for us to support you.

Re: Links to Good Reading (Part 2)

I know the story you are talking about, and I vaguely remember one of my grade school teachers around 4th grade telling/discussing this story. It is a Chinese folktale, and there are many versions of it. A quick google search came up with: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/816735.The_Seven_Chinese...

Re: Links to Good Reading (Part 2)

For those of you that followed Worm (parahumans.wordpress.com), and if you haven't you should start now, the first chapter of the sequel was posted today. The sequel is called Ward, and is at parahumans.net. For those of you that didn't follow the first story, the Parahumans universe is a grimdark s...

Re: Audiobooks

I would highly recommend Oliver Wyman. I've previously listened to the audiobooks he did of the Monster Hunter series (Larry Correia), and am currently listening to the Safehold series (David Weber). Both series have a tremendous number of characters, and he is able to bring a different voice to the...

Re: Good Books (Scifi)

I'll be interested to see other people's responses to this, as I'd like to read some of those books. The only ones that come to mind as being close (and they aren't an exact fit) are David Weber's Mutineer's Moon series and (to a lesser extent) his Honor Harrington Series. The former fits closer tha...

Re: Lost & Found

So, I am trying to identify a story I read where the protagonist finds or manufactures gold nuggets to sell. He learns that gold nuggets sell for more than raw gold because of their collector value. It is not Refusenik's Island Mine story. That is what triggered my memory. It could be a printed boo...

Re: Need some program advice

Though not free, you should also look at Scrivener ( http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.php ). It's a program that a lot of professional and amateur writers use. It's a little convoluted at first, but once you figure it out it is extremely handy with a lot of features like imbedded notes an...

Re: Lost & Found

This sounds like Oil of Roses by (I believe) Fillmore. It is on SOL, but I'm at work so don't have a link or confirmation of author's name (and spelling).

Re: THE Ohio State University!

Don't really have anything against Rugby. It just isn't a popular game in the states so I've never watched a game and am only vaguely familiar with the sport. If I understood it and it was more widespread over here I might enjoy watching, for all I know. From my vague understanding Rugby is more or ...

Re: THE Ohio State University!

I'm sorry about what I'm about to say to all of the Americans that view and post on thes page but why are you talking about a sport where the players wear pads and helmets play for a couple of minutes and then have a break for ten minutes. You should watch a real sport like rugby where they play wi...
