Re: Mother Nature is a %@$^%#.

I agree J-Man5. Solar and wind is great for a grid boost during the summer daytime heat but is too unreliable for a larger portion of the energy production. Yes, a larger Mega wattage of fossil fuel power went offline during the sub 10 degree weather than so called renewable energy but, the percenta...

I'm just south of DFW. We lost power for over 32 hours total. We lost water for over 24 hours, boil water orders for at least a week and the water pressure is still not back to normal three weeks later.

Re: So it's' been almost 36 hours

No, It will take ALL votes being in person at the polling location, all ballots being hand counted and no precincts turning in their vote counts until ALL precincts are ready within the state. I'm not from the US so I don't have a large stake in this but my thoughts: I don't understand how a vote c...

Re: So it's' been almost 36 hours

You can always hope. But it will be a tremendous task to heal the deep chasm that devides the US. I fear this will take at least 2 generations. No, It will take ALL votes being in person at the polling location, all ballots being hand counted and no precincts turning in their vote counts until ALL ...

Have you looked at Portland Oregon? ANTIFA is still running amok and the idiotic Democrats in the mayor and governors office let them do it. Still.

Re: Forum outage - 2020-11-22

I could have made things easier on myself and restored the server from a nightly backup I have - and in fact I did do that as well - but I felt like checking what was actually wrong with the disk (ext4 corruption) so it took longer than it could have. That, and I was celebrating my partners birthda...

Re: A long lament.

I'm sorry but the Left does not have the moral high ground, and neither does the Right. Both sides are completely fucked, I don't foresee a reconciliation between the two sides, and meanwhile countries like China, Russia, and Iran are rubbing their hands together in collective glee. imthejman85, I ...

That’s definitely true. It’s not as fully capable as Winder$ though. Meaning it’s harder to find programs for Linux.

Re: weavespinner.net suspended?

Its back up now. They just wanted some more money from me. This reminds me, are you ok with me adding a link to www.sennadar.com front page pointing to http://www.weavespinner.net/worlds_of_fel.htm ? (Currently www.sennadar.com redirects to the forums, but I was going to add a set of links to it in...

The problem with that is that the troublesome fairy has three husbands or is it her husband has three names? Also, the mountains and the direction of them from Aldreth are sometimes altered in the books. The location and names of countries and continents need to be consistent too if it is to be publ...

Hmmm... Anybody know of an inexpensive, easy web editor. I used MS Frontpage XP for years but that is now almost twenty years old now. I tried the Adobe Dreamweaver for a while but it was a bit over kill and could not handle opening Fel's books in a single file like I have. Plus I REFUSE to use a so...
